Five accused in Venkatesh murder surrender before Mysuru police

Mysuru: In a major breakthrough, five accused involved in the brutal murder of Venkatesh near Doddakere Maidan have surrendered before the police late Tuesday night.

The accused have been identified as Manoj alias Big Show, Mallikarjun alias Halappa, and three others. According to police sources, the recent murder of Karthik and subsequent developments are believed to have triggered revenge motives leading to Venkatesh’s killing.

On Tuesday morning, Venkatesh was traveling by car near Doddakere Maidan when the accused blocked his vehicle using an auto, threw chilli powder into his eyes, and attacked him with lethal weapons, killing him on the spot.

Following the incident, City Police Commissioner Seema Latkar, along with DCPs Bindurani and K.S. Sundar Raj, had formed four special teams to trace the accused.

The police are now interrogating the surrendered suspects to uncover the full sequence of events and determine the exact motive behind the murder.
