Car collides with divider; 2 dead; 3 injured

Telangana: Two people were killed and three others injured in a road accident in Telangana’s Nalgonda district, police officials said. The car they were traveling in hit the divider and caught fire. This road accident happened around 1.30 am on NH-65 in Inupamula of Ketapalli mandal of Nalgonda district. He was traveling from Suryapet to Hyderabad when he hit a divider. This caused the car to catch fire.Other motorists on the same road noticed this and pulled out the occupants of the car. There were five people inside the car. Two of them died before being taken to the hospital and three are undergoing treatment.The deceased have been identified as Karunakumari (70) and her son Phanikumar (43). Phanikumar’s wife Krishnaveni, his son and another were injured.

The car went out of control and hit the divider

According to the police, Phanikumar was returning to Suryapet with his family from Hyderabad after attending a function. While crossing the Inupamula junction, Phanikumar was speeding and the car lost control and hit the divider and overturned.

The motorists who were going behind the car noticed the fire and rescued the five occupants of the car. While shifting them to the hospital, Phanikumar and his mother Karunakumari died. The remaining three have been shifted to KIM’s Hospital, Hyderabad, where they are undergoing treatment.
