Mother gave birth to a child with four legs

Gwalior (Madhya Pradesh): A woman has given birth to a baby girl with ‘four’ legs in Madhya Pradesh’s Gwalior district.A woman named Aarti Kushwaha of Sikandar Kampu gave birth to a four-legged baby in the women and children’s department of Kamalaraja Hospital. Mother gave birth to a child with four legs.

The weight of the baby after birth is 2.3 kg. The doctor said that the newborn baby is healthy. A team of doctors along with the superintendent of Jayaroga Hospital, Gwalior examined the infant. Jayarogya Hospital Group Superintendent Dr. R.K.S.Dhakad said, “The baby has four legs and she has a physical disability. During development, some embryos are added, which is called ischiopagus in medical science language. When the embryo splits into two parts, this girl child’s lower waist. The part developed with two additional legs, but those legs are said to be inactive.

“Now the doctors of the children’s department are checking whether there is any other disability in any part of the body. After the examination, if she is healthy, the extra legs will be surgically removed. He said that she can lead a normal life. Currently, the baby is being treated in the Special Neonatal Care Unit of the Pediatric Department of the Kamalaraja Hospital.

The health condition of the baby is constantly being monitored. Doctors are thinking of surgically removing her extra legs. At present, the girl child is completely healthy.
