Rahul Dravid son Anvay Dravid select for Men’s U19 One-Day Challenger Trophy
Anvay Dravid, the younger son of former Indian captain and current coach Rahul Dravid, has been selected for the Men’s Under-19 One-Day Challenger Trophy. Anvay’s elder brother, Samit Dravid, has also previously been selected for the India U19 squad for a home series against Australia in 2024 but missed out due to an injury.
Anvay Dravid’s recent selection is a significant step in his career, placing him among the country’s top junior cricketers. Men’s Under-19 One-Day Challenger Trophy starting in Hyderabad on Wednesday. The tournament is held annually and provides an opportunity for young players to showcase their talent.
Anvay has been included in the C team for the four-team tournament. Anvay, who plays the roles of a top-order batsman and wicketkeeper, is known for his aggressive batting. The tournament will be held in Hyderabad from November 5 to 11, 2025.
The C team will be led by Aaron George, with Aryan Yadav as the vice-captain. The team’s first match will be against the Vedant Trivedi-led B team on Friday. Anuy Dravid will be seen playing in this match. It is worth noting that Rahul Dravid’s elder son Samit Dravid is also a batsman.
