KTM 250 Adventure launch: Check here Price, other details

KTM has launched its new entry-level adventure-tourer offering, the 250 Adventure in the Indian market. The new KTM 250 Adventure comes with a price tag starting at Rs 2.48 lakh, ex-showroom (Delhi).

Bookings for the new baby adventure motorcycle is now open at KTM dealerships across the country. Deliveries for the same will begin soon. The new KTM 250 Adventure will be positioned below its larger sibling, the 390 Adventure. The entry-level model is aimed at first-time adventure-tourer buyers in the market.

The 250 Adventure offers a host of features and equipment, while also borrowing design cues from its larger sibling. While the overall design of the KTM 250 Adventure remains largely similar to its higher displacement siblings, there are quite a few changes made to help differentiate between them.

The most obvious difference is the engine, which KTM has borrowed from its 250 Duke model. The KTM 250 Adventure uses the same 249cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine. It produces 30bhp and 24Nm of peak torque, paired with a six-speed gearbox. The motorcycle comes with Power-Assist slipper clutch as standard which ensures smooth jerk-free clutchless downshifts. Other mechanicals include 43mm WP upside-down forks at the front with 170mm of travel and a mono-shock suspension setup at the back.

The rear suspension further comes with preload adjustability while also offering 177mm of maximum travel. Braking is handled by a large 320mm disc at the front and a 230mm disc at the rear, supported by dual-channel (Switchable) ABS as standard.

The adventure motorcycle rides on 19-inch front and 17-inch rear tubeless tyres. Other standard features on the new KTM 250 Adventure include LED taillights & turn indicators, LCD display, 14.5-litre fuel tank capacity and a seat height of 855mm with slim seats to accommodate all kinds of riders.
