Heart attack claim turns into murder case in Tumakuru; wife, second husband confess

Tumakuru : What was initially believed to be a natural death due to a heart attack has now taken a shocking turn in Tumakuru district, with police uncovering an alleged murder conspiracy involving the victim’s wife and her new husband.
The deceased has been identified as Paramesh, a resident of Dasarahalli in Hebbur hobli of Tumakuru taluk. Paramesh was said to have died on January 30 due to a suspected heart attack. His wife had reportedly mourned his death and claimed he collapsed suddenly.
However, suspicion arose among the victim’s relatives after his wife, Asha, remarried within 20 days of his death. She married a man identified as Chandrappa, which raised serious doubts among Paramesh’s family members.
Acting on a complaint filed by the victim’s sister, police from Hebbur Police Station initiated an investigation. On February 26, authorities exhumed Paramesh’s body from a burial site near a farmhouse in Dasarahalli for further examination.
During interrogation, the police reportedly uncovered startling revelations. Both Asha and Chandrappa allegedly confessed that they had jointly murdered Paramesh.
Investigators say Asha and Chandrappa had known each other for about one and a half years after meeting through catering work. Their friendship gradually turned close, and police suspect this relationship may have been the motive behind the crime.
Sources also indicated that there had been frequent disputes between Paramesh and Asha at home. Police are now probing whether the murder was pre-planned and what circumstances led to the alleged conspiracy.
The case has shocked residents of the village, as Paramesh’s death was initially considered a natural one. Police have registered a murder case and taken both accused into custody.
Further investigation is underway to determine the exact sequence of events and the motive behind the killing.
