Here is the information on the US spending on the attack on Iran and the weapons used

Tehran ;The joint military campaign launched by the United States and Israel against Iran is intensifying, with indications that the conflict could stretch on for several more weeks. US President Donald Trump has reaffirmed that Washington is prepared for a sustained operation, underscoring the possibility of a prolonged and volatile phase in West Asia.

Tensions surged sharply following reports of the killing of Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei in a joint strike. Iran has vowed retaliation, while President Trump stated that the United States would respond firmly to any attacks resulting in American casualties. Hostilities continued into Tuesday, with Iranian missile strikes reportedly targeting US-linked facilities in the region, further deepening the crisis.

The US administration has maintained that the offensive is aimed at preventing Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons capability. In a video message shared on social media in late February, Trump described the campaign as a decisive effort to dismantle Iran’s missile programmes and strategic weapons infrastructure. The operation has been named “Operation Epic Fury” by US authorities.

According to statements from US Central Command, more than 1,000 locations inside Iran have been targeted since the operation began, including military bases, weapons depots and key infrastructure. Iranian sources claim significant civilian casualties, with the Iranian Red Crescent reporting hundreds of deaths across over 100 cities since the escalation began.

Reports suggest that the US has deployed a wide array of advanced weaponry in the campaign. These include B-1 and B-2 strategic bombers, F-22 Raptor and F-35 Lightning II fighter jets, as well as F-16 and F/A-18 aircraft. Electronic warfare systems such as the EA-18G Growler and unmanned platforms including MQ-9 Reaper drones have also reportedly been used. Naval assets equipped with Tomahawk cruise missiles have supported the strikes.

Financial estimates indicate the scale of the operation is substantial. A 2025 report by Brown University noted that since October 2023, the United States has spent tens of billions of dollars on military assistance and regional operations in the Middle East. Analysts cited by foreign media estimate that the first 24 hours of Operation Epic Fury alone may have cost around $800 million, with daily operational expenses running into millions more.

Both Washington and Tehran have signalled readiness to continue, raising concerns that the conflict may widen further, with significant geopolitical and humanitarian consequences.
