Trump vows to destroy Iran’s military as US and Israel launch joint strikes
West Palm Beach: The Middle East has plunged into renewed turmoil after the United States and Israel launched coordinated missile and air strikes targeting key Iranian military installations.
US President Donald Trump announced a major military offensive against Iran, declaring that American forces would dismantle Iran’s military infrastructure, missile capabilities, and naval assets.
In a video message released from his Florida residence and shared on his Truth Social platform, Trump said the operation aimed to completely eliminate Iran’s missile systems and weaken its military strength.
“We will destroy their missiles and bring their missile industry to the ground. We will also destroy their navy,” Trump said, calling Iran a major threat to regional and global security.
The US military operation has reportedly been named “Operation Epic Fury,” with coordinated strikes taking place in and around Iran’s capital, Tehran, and other strategic military locations. According to statements attributed to the Pentagon, the operation targets Iran’s missile bases, naval infrastructure, and military command centers.
Trump also issued a direct appeal to the Iranian people, urging them to rise against their government. “Your time for freedom is near. After this fight is over, you must take control of your country. This could be your only opportunity for generations,” he said in the video message.
His remarks suggest that the broader objective of the operation goes beyond military targets, potentially aiming to weaken or destabilize Iran’s current political leadership, which has been in power since the 1979 Islamic Revolution.
The joint US-Israel strikes mark a major escalation in tensions across the Middle East, raising fears of a wider regional conflict. Iran has previously warned of severe retaliation if its territory or military assets were attacked, increasing concerns about possible counter-strikes on US bases and allied interests in the region.
Global leaders and international observers are closely monitoring the situation, as further escalation could disrupt oil supply routes, destabilize regional security, and impact global economic stability. The situation remains fluid, with both military and diplomatic developments expected in the coming days.
