Very heavy rainfall alert: There is now mild cold in the morning and evening in many states across the country. Meanwhile, the India Meteorological Department has issued a rain warning for some states in October as well.

According to the India Meteorological Department, heavy rains are expected to continue for the next seven days in Kerala, Lakshadweep, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Andhra Pradesh.

Another low pressure area is expected to form over the southeast Bay of Bengal around October 21, which may intensify into a depression over the south and central Bay of Bengal in the next 48 hours.

According to the India Meteorological Department, rains are expected in many parts of South India between October 20 and 25. Moreover, light to moderate rains are expected in Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karaikal and Rayalaseema till October 21.

Heavy rains are expected in Lakshadweep between October 23 and 25. According to the India Meteorological Department, heavy rains have been warned for Kerala, Tamil Nadu and Telangana. Additionally, thunderstorms are likely to cause significant damage in parts of Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka.

Rain is expected in several districts of Jharkhand after October 25. The weather may change during the Chhath festival, with isolated rains and increased cold.

A slight change has begun in the weather in Bihar. Light fog and mist are expected in many districts in the morning and late night. According to meteorologists, the sky will be clear on Diwali night. There will be mild sunshine during the day, but the heat will not be felt.

According to the IMD, thunderstorms are likely at many places in Manipur, Puducherry and Sikkim. Rain is also likely in Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Tripura and Mizoram.
