Weather Report: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued heavy rain alerts for several states across India, with warnings extending till at least July 1, and in some cases, beyond. Weather Report: Very heavy rainfall alert in these states till July 1.
The monsoon has covered the entire country earlier than its usual date, leading to widespread rainfall activity.

Red Alert (Extremely Heavy Rainfall):
Jharkhand: Parts of Jharkhand, including Gumla, Simdega, Khunti, Saraikela-Kharswan, East and West Singhbhum districts, are under a red alert for extremely heavy rainfall till July 1. This is due to a low-pressure area in the northern Bay of Bengal and a trough over Jharkhand.
Uttarakhand: Red alert issued for heavy rainfall on June 30 (though this period is ending), with continued very heavy rainfall expected till July 3 in various districts including Uttarkashi, Rudraprayag, Dehradun, Tehri, Pauri, Haridwar, and Nainital.
Himachal Pradesh: Red alert for heavy rainfall on 30, with very heavy rainfall expected on July 1.
Odisha: Red alert for extremely heavy rainfall on June 29 (this period is ending). Isolated heavy rainfall likely till July 5.
Orange Alert (Heavy to Very Heavy Rainfall):
Jharkhand: An orange alert for heavy rainfall has been issued for Ranchi, Ramgarh, Hazaribag, Lohardaga, Latehar, Chatra, and Palamu on June 30 and till July 2 for some districts.
Bihar: Heavy to very heavy rainfall very likely at isolated places till July 1, with isolated heavy rainfall likely through July 5.
Madhya Pradesh: Heavy to very heavy rainfall very likely at isolated places, with isolated heavy rainfall expected till July 5.
Chhattisgarh: Heavy to very heavy rainfall very likely at isolated places, with isolated heavy rainfall expected till July 5.

Uttar Pradesh: Very heavy rainfall over West Uttar Pradesh till July 2, and East Uttar Pradesh on June 30 & July 1. Isolated heavy rainfall is likely over the entire state till July 5.
Haryana, Chandigarh & Delhi: Heavy to very heavy rainfall very likely at isolated places on June 30, with heavy rainfall likely till July 3.
Punjab: Heavy to very heavy rainfall very likely at isolated places on June 30, with heavy rainfall likely till July 3.
Konkan & Goa: Heavy to very heavy rainfall at isolated places likely over the next 7 days.
Ghat areas of Madhya Maharashtra: Heavy to very heavy rainfall at isolated places likely over the next 7 days.
Gujarat State: Heavy to very heavy rainfall at isolated places likely over the next 7 days, with isolated instances of extremely heavy rainfall expected.
Vidarbha (Maharashtra): Heavy to very heavy rainfall very likely at isolated places till July 2.
Sub-Himalayan West Bengal & Sikkim: Isolated heavy rainfall during June 30-July 5.
Gangetic West Bengal: Isolated heavy rainfall during June 30-July 1 and again on July 4 & 5.
Heavy Rainfall Expected:
Arunachal Pradesh, Assam & Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram & Tripura: Isolated heavy rainfall. Very heavy rainfall is specifically expected between July 2-5.
Kerala & Mahe: Isolated heavy rainfall on June 30, July 3 & 4.
Coastal Karnataka: Isolated heavy rainfall on June 30 and again during July 2-5.
South Interior Karnataka: Isolated heavy rainfall during July 2-5.
Marathwada (Maharashtra): Isolated heavy rainfall on June 30.
East Rajasthan: Heavy rainfall on July 4 & 5.
Thunderstorms accompanied by lightning and gusty winds (30-40 kmph or 40-50 kmph) are also very likely at isolated places across many of these regions. Strong surface winds (speed reaching 40-50 kmph) are very likely over South Peninsular India for the next 7 days.
Citizens in these states are advised to stay informed through official IMD bulletins and local disaster management authorities, take necessary precautions, and avoid areas prone to waterlogging, landslides, or flash floods.
