Karnataka school summer holiday: The heat of the summer in Karnataka is increasing day by day. Karnataka has seen record highs this season. After heatwave increased in state, talks are started about school summer holiday.
While hot and humid conditions are likely to prevail across coastal Karnataka till February 28. heatwave conditions are likely to prevail along the coast till February 27, the India Meteorological Department, Bengaluru, said in its report released on Wednesday.

The IMD said during this period there will be an increase in the relative humidity between 45% and 60% and maximum air temperature will be in the range of 36 to 38 degrees Celsius across the coast. As a result, the human body will perceive temperature of the range between 40 to 50 degrees Celsius.
Asking people not to get exposed to direct sunlight between noon and 3 p.m., the IMD said people should keep themselves hydrated by drinking water, ORS, lassi, lime water, and buttermilk. People should wear light clothes, cover the head with cloth, hat or umbrella.
India is bracing for one of the warmest March months on record, with above-average temperatures expected to persist for most of the month, according to two officials from the India Meteorological Department (IMD).
This unusual heat poses a serious threat to the maturing wheat crop, potentially reducing yields, the official added. “March is likely to be unusually hot this year, report say that it may more increased in April 1st week.
With both daytime and nighttime temperatures expected to remain above normal for much of the month,” a senior IMD official told Reuters on condition of anonymity ahead of the department’s official forecast, due to be released on Friday.

Daytime temperatures are forecast to begin rising from the second week of March, with several states expected to see maximum temperatures exceed 40 degrees Celsius (104°F) by month-end, the official added. If temperature increased in march it is very difficult for student to sit in class rooms.
Most of government schools in Karnataka running without fan. So for students health concern government may announce summer holiday early. In Karnataka Last year, a summer vacation was announced from April 11 to the last week of May. But this year because of heatwave Karnataka school summer holiday may start from April 1st.
