Tamil Nadu politics may soon witness another actor making his entry into the political arena. After actor Vijay achieved a remarkable breakthrough in the recent elections, reports suggest that another leading Tamil actor, Dhanush, is preparing to enter politics.

Superstar Rajinikanth is reportedly supporting Dhanush’s political ambitions and may officially announce his backing soon. A recent photograph of Rajinikanth with Dhanush has sparked speculation and added fuel to the ongoing discussions about Dhanush’s political plans.

According to reports in media, Dhanush is planning to contest the upcoming 2031 Tamil Nadu Assembly elections. It is also being claimed that a political party in his name has already been registered with the Election Commission. However, neither Dhanush nor Rajinikanth has officially confirmed these reports so far.

Earlier, Rajinikanth had announced his intention to enter politics but later decided to step back. Meanwhile, actor Vijay launched his political party, Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK), in 2024 and went on to achieve major success within a short period, eventually creating history by becoming the Chief Minister.

Following Vijay’s political rise, reports suggest that Rajinikanth and his fans may have been disappointed that the superstar himself did not enter politics. This has led to speculation that Rajinikanth could support Dhanush and help him make a political entry.

As part of his alleged political preparations, Dhanush is reportedly strengthening his fan base across Tamil Nadu. Reports claim that he is restructuring his fan clubs at the district level, appointing office bearers, and focusing on expanding membership.
