Realme C100i Launching August 27 With 6500mAh Battery And 120Hz Display

Realme has confirmed the India launch of its new C100i budget smartphone, bringing a large battery, fast refresh rate display and additional durability features to buyers.

Realme is set to expand its budget smartphone lineup in India with the C100i. The company has confirmed that the new smartphone will launch on August 27, with sales scheduled to begin through Flipkart on the same day.

While Realme has kept the price under wraps for now, two major features have already been confirmed. The Indian version will carry a 6500mAh battery and a display supporting a 120Hz refresh rate.

Battery and display take centre stage

The large battery is likely to be one of the main attractions of the Realme C100i. A 6500mAh cell should appeal to users who spend considerable time watching videos, browsing social media or handling everyday tasks away from a charger.

The 120Hz refresh rate should also make scrolling and supported animations feel smoother than standard 60Hz panels. Realme has additionally mentioned ArmorShell protection, a 36 month warranty and a five year battery related claim as part of its promotional material. The detailed terms are expected to be clarified around the launch.

Possible RAM and storage options

The C100i has previously appeared in leaks with the RMX5399 model number. Reports have suggested that the Indian version could be offered with 4GB of RAM and either 64GB or 128GB of storage.

The phone is also expected to arrive in Skyline Silver and Midnight Black colour options. However, these details have not been fully confirmed by Realme and should be treated as expected specifications until the company announces them.

Global version offers different hardware

The C100i is already available in some international markets, where its specifications provide an indication of what the Indian model could offer. The global version features a 6.8 inch HD Plus IPS LCD screen with a 120Hz refresh rate.

It is powered by the Unisoc T7250 processor and comes with 4GB LPDDR4X RAM and up to 128GB eMMC 5.1 storage. The global model also features an 8MP rear camera, a 5MP front camera, a side mounted fingerprint sensor and a microSD card slot.

There is an important difference in battery capacity, though. The international model carries a 7000mAh battery with 15W charging, while Realme has confirmed a 6500mAh battery for the Indian variant. This suggests that other specifications could also differ between the two versions.

Price remains a mystery

Realme has not yet announced how much the C100i will cost in India. Considering its position within the C Series, the smartphone is expected to target budget conscious buyers.

The company is likely to reveal the final price, available configurations and launch offers on August 27. Until then, the confirmed 6500mAh battery and 120Hz display remain the main highlights of the upcoming Realme C100i.
