Redmi 17 4G Leak Reveals Massive 7500mAh Battery and 50MP Camera
Redmi 17 4G is expected to arrive with a huge battery smooth 120Hz display MediaTek processor upgraded software and practical features aimed at everyday performance and long lasting use.
Xiaomi appears to be preparing another affordable smartphone for its global lineup, with a fresh leak revealing key details about the upcoming Redmi 17 4G. While the company has not officially announced the device, the leaked specifications suggest that the smartphone will focus on long battery life, a large display and reliable day to day performance.
According to the leaked information, the Redmi 17 4G could be powered by the MediaTek Helio G91 Ultra chipset. The device is expected to be available in four memory configurations including 4GB RAM with 128GB storage, 4GB RAM with 256GB storage, 6GB RAM with 128GB storage and 6GB RAM with 256GB storage. It may feature LPDDR4X RAM paired with eMMC 5.1 storage while also supporting up to 12GB of virtual RAM expansion. The phone is also expected to ship with HyperOS 3.
One of the biggest highlights of the leaked specifications is the massive 7500mAh battery. The smartphone is tipped to support 45W wired fast charging through a USB Type C port, making it suitable for users who prioritize extended battery life without frequent charging.
The Redmi 17 4G is also expected to feature a large 6.9 inch HD Plus display with a resolution of 720 x 1600 pixels. The screen may support an adaptive refresh rate of up to 120Hz for smoother scrolling and animations. Peak brightness is said to reach 825 nits in High Brightness Mode, while standard brightness could be around 675 nits. Additional display features may include DC dimming, 8 bit color depth and 83 percent NTSC color gamut coverage.
To improve the viewing experience, the display is expected to carry TÃœV Rheinland certifications for low blue light, flicker free operation and circadian friendly viewing. Gorilla Glass 7i protection is also tipped for added durability against everyday scratches and minor impacts.
For photography, the smartphone may include a 50 megapixel primary rear camera with an f 1.8 aperture and a five element lens. A secondary rear camera is also expected, although its specifications have not yet been revealed. On the front, Redmi may equip the device with an 8 megapixel selfie camera featuring an f 2.05 aperture for selfies and video calls.
The leaked details also point to several practical features. Security options are expected to include a side mounted fingerprint scanner and AI powered face unlock. Connectivity could include dual band Wi Fi with both 2.4GHz and 5GHz support, NFC and an infrared blaster for controlling compatible home appliances.
The smartphone is reportedly expected to launch in Oak Green Deep Blue Black and Lotus Purple color options. It may also feature a Dynamic RGB light for added visual appeal. An IP64 rating for dust and splash resistance is said to provide additional durability for everyday use.
In terms of physical dimensions, the Redmi 17 4G is expected to measure 170.12 mm in height, 78.42 mm in width and 8.8 mm in thickness while weighing around 232 grams. Although Xiaomi has not confirmed any of these details, the latest leak indicates that the Redmi 17 4G could offer a compelling combination of battery life, display quality and essential features for budget conscious smartphone buyers.
