Motorola is set to begin the first sale of its newly launched Edge 70 Max in India, giving early buyers a chance to grab the premium smartphone at a significantly lower effective price. With combined bank and exchange offers, customers can save up to Rs 10000, making the device even more appealing in the flagship smartphone category.

The Motorola Edge 70 Max starts at Rs 54999 for the 8GB RAM and 256GB storage variant, while the 12GB RAM and 256GB model is priced at Rs 59999. Buyers using eligible HDFC Bank or Axis Bank credit cards can receive an instant discount of Rs 5000. Flipkart is also offering an additional exchange bonus of up to Rs 5000, depending on the condition, model, and location associated with the old smartphone. Customers who qualify for both offers can reduce the effective price of the base model to Rs 44999.

The smartphone will be available for purchase from July 20 through Flipkart as well as Motorola’s official online store. It comes in Pantone Aqua Grey, Pantone Dark Shadow, and Pantone Ice Melt colour options, offering a premium look with a sturdy metal body.

One of the biggest highlights of the Motorola Edge 70 Max is its large 7100mAh battery. The device supports 90W wired fast charging, 25W wireless charging, and 5W wired reverse charging. Motorola also claims it is the first smartphone in its category to feature ultra fast magnetic wireless charging technology, making charging quicker and more convenient for users.

The smartphone is powered by Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 processor built on a 3nm process. It features an octa core architecture with performance cores reaching clock speeds of up to 3.8GHz and efficiency cores running at 3.3GHz. The device is paired with up to 12GB LPDDR5X RAM and 256GB UFS 4.1 storage. A large 5500 square millimetre vapour chamber cooling system helps maintain stable performance during gaming and demanding workloads.

Motorola has equipped the phone with Android 16 based Hello UI. The company has promised three years of Android operating system upgrades along with five years of security updates, providing long term software support for users.

The Edge 70 Max features a 6.8 inch QHD Plus Extreme AMOLED display designed to deliver a premium viewing experience. It supports a refresh rate of up to 144Hz, a touch sampling rate of up to 360Hz, and a peak brightness of 7000 nits. The display also offers a pixel density of 510 PPI and is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 7i. Motorola has included a Water Touch feature that improves screen responsiveness even when fingers are wet, making the device more practical for everyday use.

For photography, the smartphone includes a dual rear camera system led by a 50 megapixel Sony LYT 710 primary sensor with optical image stabilisation. It is accompanied by an 8 megapixel ultra wide camera that provides a 119 degree field of view, autofocus support, and an integrated two in one light sensor. On the front, the device houses a 32 megapixel selfie camera capable of recording videos in up to 4K at 60 frames per second.

The phone is also built for durability with military grade certification and IP68 plus IP69 ratings for resistance against water and dust. Despite packing a large battery, the Motorola Edge 70 Max measures just 8.29mm in thickness and weighs 221 grams, balancing premium design with long lasting performance.

With flagship specifications, a premium build, extended software support, and substantial launch offers, the Motorola Edge 70 Max is positioned as a strong contender for buyers looking for a high performance smartphone at a more attractive effective price during its first sale.
