Motorola Edge 70 Max Launches in India With 7100mAh Battery and Flagship Features

Motorola has launched its latest flagship smartphone, the Edge 70 Max, in the Indian market, targeting users who want premium performance, advanced artificial intelligence features and extended battery life. The new device combines top tier hardware with a refined design and several software enhancements aimed at improving the overall smartphone experience.

One of the standout features of the Edge 70 Max is its massive 7100mAh silicon carbon battery. Motorola claims the battery can deliver up to 58 hours of usage on a single charge, making it suitable for users who spend long hours on gaming, streaming or work. The smartphone supports 90W TurboPower fast charging along with 25W Qi2.2 magnetic wireless charging, providing multiple charging options for added convenience.

The phone is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 processor, paired with up to 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 256GB of internal storage. According to Motorola, the chipset has achieved an AnTuTu benchmark score of more than three million points, highlighting its capability to handle demanding games, heavy multitasking and intensive applications with ease.

To maintain stable performance during extended usage, Motorola has equipped the smartphone with a large 5500 square millimeter vapor chamber cooling system and liquid metal thermal gel. These cooling technologies are designed to manage heat efficiently and keep the device performing smoothly even under heavy workloads.

The Edge 70 Max features a 6.7 inch Quad HD Plus Extreme AMOLED display with a 2K resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate. Motorola says the panel reaches a peak brightness of 7000 nits, making it one of the brightest displays available in its category. The screen also supports 10 bit color, DCI P3 color gamut and HDR for vibrant visuals and an immersive viewing experience.

Audio performance has also received attention with support for Dolby Atmos, dual stereo speakers, Hi Res Audio and Snapdragon Sound. Together, these features are designed to enhance entertainment, gaming and music playback.

Photography is handled by a 50 megapixel Sony LYTIA 710 primary camera with optical image stabilization. The rear camera setup also includes an 8 megapixel ultra wide and macro lens, while the front houses a 32 megapixel selfie camera capable of recording 4K videos. Motorola has added several AI powered camera features including Photo Enhancement Engine, Dynamic Bokeh, Horizon Lock, Frame Match and Signature Style. Pantone Validated Colours and Pantone SkinTone Validation are included to deliver more natural color reproduction and realistic skin tones.

The smartphone runs Android 16 with Motorola’s Hello UX interface. It also introduces the new Motorola Qira AI platform, which is designed to improve connectivity between Motorola smartphones, Lenovo computers and tablets. AI powered tools such as Chat Mode, Next Move, Creator Zone, Pay Attention and Catch Me Up aim to simplify daily tasks and improve productivity. Additional features include Smart Connect, Moto Secure and ThinkShield security for enhanced device protection.

Motorola has focused on durability as well as design. The Edge 70 Max features an aircraft grade aluminum frame and a premium matte glass finish. It will be available in Pantone Aqua Gray, Pantone Dark Shadow and Pantone Ice Melt color options. The device comes with MIL STD 810H military grade certification, Corning Gorilla Glass 7i protection and IP68 and IP69 ratings for resistance against dust, water and accidental impacts.

The Motorola Edge 70 Max is available in two storage configurations. The 8GB RAM with 256GB storage variant is priced at Rs 54999, while launch offers reduce the effective price to Rs 49999. The 12GB RAM and 256GB storage model carries a price tag of Rs 59999 and can be purchased for an effective price of Rs 54999 after eligible offers.

Sales of the smartphone will begin on July 20, 2026, through Flipkart, the official Motorola India website and leading retail stores across the country. As part of the introductory offers, customers can receive bank discounts or exchange bonuses worth up to Rs 5000, no cost EMI options for up to 18 months and additional benefits on selected Jio 5G plans, including Google Gemini Pro access, 5000GB of Jio AI Cloud Storage and a Jio OTT Pass.
