OnePlus 15 Receives Dual eSIM Support in India With OxygenOS 16 Update
OnePlus 15 users in India can now activate two eSIMs simultaneously through the latest software update offering improved connectivity enhanced security flexible network management and greater convenience for travelers and professionals.

OnePlus has introduced a long awaited feature for its flagship OnePlus 15 smartphone in India. Following the rollout of the latest OxygenOS 16 update, users can now keep two eSIMs active at the same time, making the device more convenient for those who rely on multiple mobile connections.
The new functionality arrives with the OxygenOS 16.0.9.400 update and has already been confirmed by users who shared screenshots on the OnePlus Community platform. Before this update, the Indian version of the smartphone only allowed one eSIM to work alongside a physical SIM or supported two physical SIM cards. The latest software removes that limitation by enabling two digital SIM profiles to remain active together.
The addition is expected to benefit a wide range of users, especially professionals who maintain separate personal and work numbers. It is also useful for frequent international travelers, who can switch between different mobile operators without carrying or replacing physical SIM cards. Managing multiple networks becomes easier while reducing the hassle of handling traditional SIM cards.
Security is another major advantage of eSIM technology. Since an eSIM is embedded directly into the smartphone, it cannot be physically removed if the device is lost or stolen. This can improve tracking capabilities and help users continue accessing network based security features even after the phone goes missing.
Although the feature is currently available only on the OnePlus 15, reports suggest the company may extend dual eSIM support to other premium smartphones, including the OnePlus 15R, through future software updates. However, OnePlus has not yet announced an official timeline for expanding the feature to additional models.
Apart from the latest connectivity upgrade, the OnePlus 15 continues to offer high end hardware designed for flagship performance. The smartphone features a 6.78 inch 1.5K AMOLED display with a 165Hz refresh rate, delivering smooth visuals for gaming, streaming and everyday use. It is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor and runs on Android 16 based OxygenOS. Buyers can choose configurations with up to 12GB of RAM and up to 512GB of internal storage.
The camera system includes a 50 megapixel triple rear setup consisting of a primary sensor, an ultra wide lens and a telephoto camera. For selfies and video calls, the device is equipped with a 32 megapixel front camera, offering detailed images and clear video quality.
Battery performance is another highlight of the smartphone. The OnePlus 15 houses a large 7300mAh silicon carbon battery that supports 120W SUPERVOOC fast charging, 50W wireless charging and reverse wireless charging. These features allow users to recharge quickly while also powering compatible accessories wirelessly.
The smartphone also comes with a range of artificial intelligence powered tools aimed at improving the overall user experience. Features such as AI Perfect Shot, AI VoiceScribe, AI Portrait, AI Scan, AI Ultra HD Pixels, AI One Click Flash and AI Elimination assist with photography, document scanning, voice recording and image enhancement.
OnePlus has also promised long term software support for the device. The company says the OnePlus 15 will receive Android operating system updates for five years along with six years of security updates, ensuring users continue receiving new features and important security improvements well into the future.
