Motorola Edge 70 Max Launch Set for July 15 With 7100mAh Battery and Snapdragon 8 Gen 5

Motorola has officially confirmed that the Motorola Edge 70 Max will launch in India on July 15 at 12 pm. Ahead of its debut, the company has revealed several key specifications through its Flipkart microsite, giving smartphone buyers an early look at what could become one of the brand’s most feature packed devices in the country.

One of the standout features of the upcoming smartphone is its massive 7100mAh battery. Motorola claims the phone is capable of delivering up to 58 hours of battery life on a single charge. The device also supports 90W TurboPower wired charging, while magnetic wireless charging has been confirmed as well. According to the company, this will be the first smartphone in its segment to offer magnetic wireless charging support.

Performance is expected to be another major highlight. The Edge 70 Max will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 processor, paired with up to 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM. Motorola says the chipset delivers a significant improvement in AI processing performance, with its upgraded neural processing unit offering better efficiency for AI based tasks. The company also claims the smartphone has crossed the three million mark in AnTuTu benchmark testing.

To maintain stable performance during gaming and demanding workloads, Motorola has equipped the device with its ArcticMesh cooling system. The setup includes a large 5500 square millimetre vapour cooling chamber that is designed to manage heat efficiently and keep the processor running at optimal temperatures during extended usage.

The smartphone will also feature a premium display aimed at users who enjoy gaming, streaming and multimedia content. Motorola has confirmed a Quad HD Plus LTPO display with a 144Hz refresh rate and peak brightness of up to 7000 nits. The panel is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 7i and supports a 95.12 percent screen to body ratio, DCI P3 colour gamut and 10 bit colour output for improved visual quality.

Gamers are likely to appreciate another confirmed feature. Motorola says the Edge 70 Max will support BGMI gameplay at up to 120 frames per second, promising smoother visuals and a more responsive gaming experience. Industry reports have also suggested the phone could feature a large 6.82 inch display, although Motorola has not officially confirmed the exact screen size.

The Flipkart listing has also revealed the phone’s design. It features a flat display with slim bezels and a square shaped rear camera module. Promotional images show the smartphone in Light Blue and Green colour options, giving buyers a choice of two modern finishes.
