Woman Arrested After Allegedly Tying Husband to Cot and Giving Electric Shocks
A domestic dispute in Uttar Pradesh turned violent after a woman allegedly tied her husband to a cot, assaulted him, and gave electric shocks, leaving him seriously injured.
A shocking case of domestic violence has come to light from Uttar Pradesh’s Fatehpur district, where a woman was arrested for allegedly tying her husband to a cot, physically assaulting him, and giving him electric shocks during a family dispute.
According to police, the incident took place on the night of July 5 after an argument broke out between the couple. Investigators said the woman allegedly restrained her husband by tying him to a cot and continued to assault him throughout the night. She is also accused of using electric wires to administer electric shocks, causing severe injuries.
The victim remained confined until the following morning, when police received information about his condition. Officers rushed to the house and rescued him before shifting him to a nearby hospital for emergency treatment. As his condition was found to be critical, doctors later referred him to a hospital in Kanpur for advanced medical care.
Police recorded the victim’s statement after he was admitted to the hospital. Based on a complaint filed by his brother, a case was registered against the accused woman, who was subsequently taken into custody.
Investigators said they are examining all aspects of the incident and have begun a detailed inquiry. Officials stated that further action will be taken based on the evidence collected during the investigation.
