Man’s Effort to Save His Car During Flood Goes Viral
A dramatic video showing a man standing in floodwaters to prevent his car from being swept away has gone viral, drawing praise online for his determination and emotional attachment.

In the video, the man’s car is seen almost completely submerged in floodwater. Rather than leaving the vehicle behind, he stands in chest-deep water, firmly holding onto the rear door to stop the current from carrying it away while waiting for help to arrive.
After some time, a JCB excavator reaches the scene to recover the stranded vehicle. Even during the rescue operation, the owner continues assisting the machine operator to ensure the car is pulled out safely from the flooded area.
The clip has since spread widely across social media platforms, attracting millions of views and generating mixed reactions. Many users expressed sympathy for the owner, saying they understood his determination to protect a valuable asset. Others described the moment as emotional, while several praised his commitment and courage despite the dangerous conditions.

Despite being partially submerged, the car’s lights and windshield wipers appeared to remain operational in the video, surprising many viewers. The model is believed to feature a 30.2 kWh battery pack with an estimated driving range of around 300 kilometres on a full charge, although the exact condition of the vehicle after the incident remains unknown.
