
Prime Minister Narendra Modi was conferred Indonesia’s highest civilian honour during his official visit to Jakarta, marking a significant moment in the growing relationship between India and Indonesia. The prestigious Bintang Adipurna award was presented by Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto at a special ceremony.
The honour recognizes individuals who have made exceptional contributions to national unity, progress and international cooperation. By presenting the award to Prime Minister Modi, Indonesia acknowledged his role in strengthening ties between the two nations and expanding bilateral engagement across multiple sectors.
Expressing his gratitude after receiving the award, Prime Minister Modi said the recognition belonged to the people of India and reflected the enduring friendship shared by both countries. He described the honour as a symbol of the deep trust and mutual respect that continue to shape India Indonesia relations.
The Prime Minister also thanked President Prabowo Subianto and the people of Indonesia for the warm welcome and the prestigious recognition. He said the award would further inspire efforts to deepen cooperation and expand the long standing partnership between the two countries.

Prime Minister Modi is currently visiting Indonesia as part of his multi nation diplomatic tour. During the visit, he is holding discussions on defence cooperation, trade, infrastructure, technology and regional security, with both countries expected to strengthen collaboration through several important agreements.
