Delhi Cab Driver Arrested in Connection With Murder of Missing 10-Year-Old Girl

A 25-year-old app-based cab driver has been arrested after a 10-year-old girl, who was reported missing from a footpath in Delhi, was found dead in a forested area of Mehrauli, police said.

A shocking crime has come to light in the national capital, where a 10-year-old girl who went missing from a footpath was later found dead, leading to the arrest of a cab driver in connection with the case.

According to police, the girl’s parents contacted authorities through a PCR call in the early hours of Monday after discovering that their daughter was missing. Acting swiftly on the complaint, officers from Mehrauli Police Station launched an extensive search operation.

Investigators reviewed footage from hundreds of CCTV cameras in and around the area to trace the child’s movements. During the course of the investigation, police received information about a suspicious vehicle and its driver, which became a key lead in the case.

Within four hours of the complaint being filed, police tracked down and arrested a 25-year-old app-based cab driver identified as Bablu. During questioning, the suspect allegedly admitted to involvement in the crime, investigators said.

Police stated that the accused allegedly took the girl from a footpath near CDR Chowk in the Mehrauli area. The child’s body was later recovered from a forested location in Mehrauli.

The incident has sparked outrage and renewed concerns about the safety of children, particularly those living in vulnerable conditions. Authorities said the investigation is ongoing, and further legal proceedings are being carried out in accordance with the law.
