Redmi K100 Leak Points to Massive 8000mAh Battery and Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 Performance Focus
Upcoming Redmi flagship series is expected to bring powerful hardware upgrades including huge battery capacity advanced cameras and next generation chipset for high end smartphone users

Redmi is reportedly preparing to launch its next flagship lineup, the Redmi K100 series, which is expected to succeed last year’s Redmi K90 series. Early leaks suggest that the new generation will focus heavily on performance, battery life, and camera improvements, positioning it as a strong contender in the premium smartphone segment.
One of the most talked about highlights is the battery. According to tipster Digital Chat Station on Weibo, the Redmi K100 may come with at least an 8000mAh battery, though some earlier leaks hinted at a slightly larger 8500mAh unit. The device is also expected to support 100W wired fast charging, ensuring quick power top ups despite the large capacity.
The design of the Redmi K100 is said to include a metal frame paired with a glass back panel, giving it a premium build quality. In terms of audio, symmetrical stereo speakers are likely to be included for a more balanced multimedia experience. Security features may also see an upgrade with a 3D ultrasonic in display fingerprint sensor.
Camera capabilities are expected to be a major focus of the device. The Redmi K100 may feature a dual rear camera setup consisting of a 200 megapixel primary sensor and a 50 megapixel telephoto lens, aiming to deliver strong zoom and high resolution photography performance.
On the display side, the base model of the series is rumored to feature a panel with a 185Hz refresh rate, which would place it among the most responsive displays in the smartphone market. This continues Redmi’s push toward high refresh rate screens for gaming and smooth user interaction.
For context, the recently launched Redmi K90 Max already showcases the brand’s flagship direction with a 6.83 inch M10 display supporting a 165Hz refresh rate and peak brightness of 3500 nits. It runs on HyperOS 3 based on Android 16 and is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9500 chipset, along with a dedicated D2 graphics chip for gaming performance.
The K90 Max also includes a dual camera system with a 50 megapixel OIS primary sensor and an 8 megapixel secondary lens, along with a 20 megapixel front camera. Its massive 8550mAh battery supports 100W fast charging and 22.5W reverse charging, showing the direction Redmi is taking in battery focused flagship design.
With the K100 series still in the rumor stage, expectations are high that Redmi will push boundaries further in performance, display technology, and battery innovation when the official launch happens.
