Student Dies After Collapsing at Mumbai Music Event Investigation Underway

A young student died after suddenly collapsing at a music event in Mumbai, while another attendee fell ill, prompting authorities to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident.

A music event in Mumbai has once again come under scrutiny after a 28 year old student collapsed and died during a gathering at the city’s NESCO Exhibition Centre. The incident has raised fresh concerns, especially as similar cases were reported at the same venue earlier this year.

According to officials, the victim was identified as Vrushabh Gangurde. He reportedly collapsed suddenly during a techno music event held on Saturday evening. Emergency assistance was provided, but he could not be saved.

The incident created panic among attendees, particularly after a 31 year old woman also became seriously unwell and collapsed at the venue. She was reportedly taken for medical attention soon after her condition deteriorated.

Investigators are examining various possible factors behind the incident. Police are looking into whether the consumption of alcohol, energy drinks, or other substances may have contributed to the health emergency. However, officials have not yet reached any final conclusions.

The latest death has drawn significant attention because two MBA students reportedly lost their lives after collapsing at the same venue during a similar event nearly two months ago. Those incidents had already sparked debate about safety measures and medical preparedness at large gatherings.

Following the recent tragedy, Mumbai Crime Branch officials have launched an investigation to determine the exact cause of the student’s death. Authorities are expected to review medical reports, witness statements, and other evidence collected from the venue.

Police said the inquiry is ongoing and further details will be known after forensic and medical examinations are completed. The incident has once again highlighted concerns about crowd safety and health monitoring at large entertainment events.
