New Realme 16T 5G arrives with a massive 8000mAh battery, 50MP Sony AI camera, and Android 16 based UI, aiming to deliver long lasting performance and smooth everyday smartphone experience

Realme has expanded its smartphone lineup in India with the launch of the Realme 16T 5G, a device designed to focus on battery life, durability, and balanced performance. The phone enters the market with a strong set of specifications that target users who prefer long usage without frequent charging. Along with performance upgrades, the brand has also highlighted durability and software improvements in this model.
One of the biggest talking points of the Realme 16T 5G is its huge 8000mAh battery. The device supports 45W SuperVOOC fast charging, allowing users to recharge faster despite the large capacity. This combination makes it suitable for heavy users such as gamers, travelers, and those who spend long hours on streaming or social media.
The smartphone is priced across three variants in India. The 6GB RAM and 128GB storage model is priced at 29,999 rupees, while the 8GB plus 128GB variant comes at 31,999 rupees. The top 8GB plus 256GB version is available at 34,999 rupees. A limited pre sale window is open until 26 May, and the official sale begins from 27 May through Flipkart, Realme’s official website, and offline retail stores. Buyers can also benefit from bank offers that reduce the effective price by up to 3,000 rupees.
Realme has also focused on durability and user experience in this device. The phone comes with an IP69 rating for dust and water resistance along with military grade shock resistance certification. For thermal control, it includes a vapor chamber and graphite cooling system to maintain stable performance during extended usage. Security is handled by a side mounted capacitive fingerprint sensor.
On the display and software side, the Realme 16T 5G features a 6.8 inch LCD panel with a 144Hz refresh rate and up to 1200 nits peak brightness. It runs on Android 16 based Realme UI 7, offering features like split screen multitasking, floating windows, screen recording, and cross platform file sharing support. The device is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset, designed for efficient daily performance.
The camera setup includes a 50MP primary Sony AI sensor with autofocus and f/1.8 aperture, supported by a 2MP monochrome lens. On the front, a 16MP camera handles selfies and video calls. With its large battery, improved software experience, and durability focused design, the Realme 16T 5G positions itself as a practical option for users looking for endurance driven smartphones in the mid range segment.
