Vivo X500 Series May Bring Massive Battery Upgrade and New Chipsets

Vivo’s upcoming X500 smartphone lineup has reportedly appeared in an early database listing, revealing three expected models along with possible flagship camera improvements and significantly larger battery capacity upgrades.

Vivo appears to be preparing its next premium smartphone lineup after the success of the X300 series. Early details about the upcoming Vivo X500 family have now surfaced online, giving smartphone enthusiasts an early look at what the company may launch later this year.

According to reports linked to a GSMA IMEI database listing, the Vivo X500 series could initially include three models. The lineup reportedly consists of the Vivo X500, Vivo X500 Pro, and Vivo X500e. The appearance of these models in an early database suggests Vivo has already begun internal preparations for the next generation flagship series.

Interestingly, the listing does not mention an Ultra version at this stage. Industry watchers believe Vivo may follow the same launch strategy used with earlier series, where premium Ultra editions arrive separately after the standard and Pro variants are introduced in the market.

Battery performance is expected to become one of the biggest highlights of the new series. Recent leaks suggest Vivo could introduce batteries as large as 7000mAh in selected models. If accurate, this would represent a major jump compared to many current flagship smartphones and could significantly improve gaming time, video streaming, and all day usage without frequent charging.

Reports also indicate that Vivo may equip the Vivo X500 and Vivo X500 Pro with MediaTek’s upcoming Dimensity 9600 chipset. The processor is expected to focus on improved efficiency, faster AI processing, and stronger graphics performance. With smartphone users increasingly demanding high performance for gaming, photography, and multitasking, Vivo appears to be aiming for a more balanced flagship experience.

Cameras are likely to remain a major focus for the X500 lineup. Vivo’s previous flagship devices earned attention for their photography performance, particularly the Vivo X300 Ultra, which was widely praised for its advanced camera system. The company is now expected to push imaging capabilities even further in the next series.

Leaks suggest the new smartphones may continue using Zeiss tuned camera technology to improve image quality and color accuracy. Vivo is also rumored to be working on improved dynamic range processing with support for LOFIC imaging technology. This could help users capture clearer details in both bright and low light conditions.

Although the database listing does not reveal full specifications, analysts believe Vivo may introduce upgrades in display quality, charging speed, and AI based image processing alongside the new hardware improvements.

The growing competition in the premium smartphone segment is pushing brands to focus not only on camera quality but also on battery endurance and processing power. Larger batteries are becoming increasingly important as users spend more time gaming, streaming content, and using AI powered applications throughout the day.

Vivo has not yet officially confirmed the launch timeline for the X500 series. However, market observers expect the company could unveil the lineup during the final quarter of 2026 if development continues on schedule.

With early leaks already creating excitement among smartphone fans, the Vivo X500 series is shaping up to be one of the company’s most closely watched flagship launches in the coming months.
