Xiaomi Civi 6 Series Leaks Suggest Major Camera and Display Upgrades

Upcoming Xiaomi Civi 6 and Pro models may feature 1.5K displays powerful MediaTek chips and advanced periscope cameras highlighting company focus on premium design and imaging performance in China market

Fresh leaks hint that Xiaomi is preparing to expand its stylish Civi smartphone lineup with notable upgrades in both display and camera technology. The upcoming Xiaomi Civi 6 series is expected to focus heavily on design and imaging, continuing the brand’s strategy in the premium mid range segment.

According to details shared by tipster Digital Chat Station on Chinese platform Weibo, two new devices are likely in development, the Xiaomi Civi 6 and Xiaomi Civi 6 Pro. Both models could bring improvements that push the series closer to flagship territory.

The standard Xiaomi Civi 6 is rumored to feature a 6.59 inch display with 1.5K resolution, offering sharper visuals compared to traditional full HD panels. Powering the device could be the MediaTek Dimensity 8500 chipset, which is expected to deliver balanced performance for daily use and gaming. One of the biggest highlights may be its camera system, with reports suggesting a 50 megapixel periscope telephoto lens capable of up to five times optical zoom.

Meanwhile, the Pro variant is said to take things a step further. It could sport a larger 6.83 inch 1.5K display and use the same Dimensity chipset for performance consistency. The camera setup on the Pro model is also expected to include a high resolution 50 megapixel sensor, although exact details about additional lenses remain unclear.

The Civi series has so far been limited to the Chinese market, and the new models are also expected to launch there first. Xiaomi has positioned this lineup as a blend of premium aesthetics and capable hardware, targeting users who value design as much as performance.

Looking back, last year’s Civi 5 Pro set a strong foundation with a high refresh rate display, powerful processor, and versatile triple camera system. The upcoming generation appears to build on that momentum, particularly by enhancing zoom photography and display quality.

In parallel, Xiaomi is also working on expanding its flagship lineup. A new device, believed to be part of the Xiaomi 17 series, has reportedly surfaced in regulatory listings. This model could feature a high resolution camera system, possibly including a sensor from Samsung, along with imaging enhancements associated with Leica branding.

While the company has not officially confirmed these details, the steady flow of leaks suggests that Xiaomi is gearing up for multiple launches. If the rumors hold true, the Civi 6 series could bring meaningful upgrades for users seeking a balance between design, camera capabilities, and performance.
