Xiaomi 18 Fold Launched With 7.58 Inch Display And 200MP Camera
Xiaomi 18 Fold has launched in China with a 7.58 inch foldable display, 200MP Leica camera and 6000mAh battery, while its Xring O3 processor and premium design target flagship buyers.

Xiaomi has officially expanded its foldable smartphone lineup with the new Xiaomi 18 Fold in China. The book style device brings a large inner screen, a high resolution camera system and the companys latest flagship processor into a relatively slim body.
The display is one of the biggest talking points of the new phone. Xiaomi 18 Fold has a 7.58 inch AMOLED screen on the inside, while the outer panel measures 5.38 inches. Both displays support a 120Hz refresh rate and can reach up to 4000 nits of peak brightness.
Xiaomi has also used low power Pol less technology for the main folding screen. The outer display gets protection from Xiaomi Dragon Crystal Glass 3.0, giving the cover screen an additional layer of protection for everyday use.
Performance comes from the new 3nm Xring O3 AI flagship processor. Depending on the configuration, the phone can be equipped with up to 16GB of RAM and up to 1TB of UFS 4.1 storage. The highest configuration also uses LPDDR6 RAM.
The software side is handled by Android 17 based HyperOS 4. Xiaomi is positioning the device as a premium foldable, so the combination of its processor, memory and storage is aimed at users who expect flagship level performance.
Photography is another major focus. The Xiaomi 18 Fold comes with a Leica backed triple rear camera system. It includes a 200MP primary sensor, a 50MP periscope telephoto camera and a 50MP ultrawide camera.
The main 200MP camera has an f1.7 aperture and optical image stabilisation. The periscope telephoto camera supports 3.5x optical zoom and up to 7x optical quality zoom. For selfies and video calls, Xiaomi has placed 16MP cameras on both the inner and outer sides of the phone.
Battery capacity is also notable for a foldable smartphone. Xiaomi 18 Fold houses a 6000mAh battery with support for 67W wired charging and 50W wireless charging. The larger battery could be useful for users who regularly switch between the inner and outer displays during the day.
Despite the large battery and dual screen setup, Xiaomi has kept the phone relatively slim. The device measures only 5.02mm when unfolded and 10.68mm when folded. It weighs 219 grams.
The phone also comes with IP58 and IP59 ratings, adding protection against dust and water under the conditions covered by those ratings. These specifications make the device more practical for everyday use, although foldable phones still require care because of their moving display mechanism.
Xiaomi has introduced several configurations in China. The entry model with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage is priced at CNY 10,999, which is approximately Rs 1.55 lakh based on the conversion provided in the source.
The higher model comes with 16GB RAM and 1TB storage and is priced at CNY 14,999, roughly Rs 2.11 lakh. Xiaomi has also announced a Ceramic Special Edition with the same 16GB RAM and 1TB storage combination. This version costs CNY 15,999, or around Rs 2.25 lakh.
The Xiaomi 18 Fold will be available in Black, Nishino Red and Warm Gold White colour options. The different finishes give buyers a choice between a more traditional appearance and a more distinctive premium look.
With its large high brightness displays, 200MP Leica camera, 6000mAh battery and new Xring O3 processor, the Xiaomi 18 Fold is clearly aimed at the premium end of the foldable smartphone market. Its slim profile is another important part of the phones appeal.
For now, Xiaomi has announced the device only for China. The company has not made any official announcement about an India launch. Pricing and availability for the Indian market therefore remain unknown.
