Xiaomi 17T Surfaces Before Launch With Dimensity 8500 and 12GB RAM Expected
New benchmark listing reveals Xiaomi 17T specifications ahead of launch including powerful chipset, Android 16 software, and performance focused design aimed at mid premium smartphone segment users worldwide

Xiaomi is gradually expanding its smartphone lineup and preparing to introduce its new sub flagship series, which is expected to include the Xiaomi 17T and Xiaomi 17T Pro. While the company has not officially confirmed the launch details yet, early leaks and benchmark appearances have already started revealing important information about the upcoming device.
In a recent development, the Xiaomi 17T has appeared on a benchmarking platform, giving a clearer picture of what users can expect. The listing suggests that the device will focus heavily on performance and efficiency, positioning itself in the competitive upper mid range segment.
According to the Geekbench AI database, the smartphone carries the model number 2602DPT53G, which is believed to be linked to the Xiaomi 17T based on earlier certification records. The device is powered by a MediaTek processor featuring a structured core setup with a high performance core clocked at 3.40GHz, three performance cores at 3.20GHz, and four efficiency cores running at 2.20GHz. Graphics duties are handled by the Mali G720 MC8 GPU, pointing toward a strong gaming and multitasking experience.
The chipset is widely expected to be the MediaTek Dimensity 8500, a processor already seen in other performance focused smartphones like Oppo K15 Pro, iQOO Z11 5G, and Motorola Edge 70 Pro. This suggests that Xiaomi is aiming to deliver a solid balance of speed and power efficiency in this model, making it suitable for users who expect smooth everyday performance along with gaming capability.
Memory details from the listing indicate around 11.09GB of RAM, which is likely to be marketed as 12GB in the final retail version. On the software side, the Xiaomi 17T is expected to run Android 16 with Xiaomi HyperOS 3 on top, bringing updated features and a refined user experience.
Benchmark scores also provide insight into its AI capabilities. The device reportedly achieved 777 points in the single precision test, 858 points in the half precision test, and 1160 points in the quantized test on Geekbench AI 1.7.0. These results highlight its computational strength and ability to handle multiple AI driven tasks efficiently, which is becoming increasingly important in modern smartphones.
Interestingly, the Xiaomi 17T series has already appeared across multiple certification platforms including IMDA and NBTC, indicating that the official launch may not be far away. Industry reports also suggest that development is underway for both models, with the Xiaomi 17T Pro expected to come with even more advanced specifications.
As anticipation builds, expectations are growing that the Xiaomi 17T lineup will target users looking for a performance centric smartphone experience without entering full flagship pricing territory.
