Online services and mobile applications have made the system faster and more accessible for everyone.

One of the simplest ways to check voter details is through the official Voter Helpline App. After downloading the app on an Android or iPhone device, users need to open it and select the option that says Search Your Name in Electoral Roll. From there, the system allows two different search methods depending on the information available.

Users can either enter their EPIC number, which is printed on the Voter ID card, or search using their name, date of birth, and state details. Once the required information is entered, tapping the search button will display the results within seconds.

If the name is registered in the voter list, the screen will show complete details including the voter’s name, EPIC number, polling booth information, and other relevant data. However, if the name does not appear, the same app provides options for new registration or correction of existing details.

For those who already have a Voter ID card, the verification process becomes even quicker. By selecting the EPIC based search option, users can directly enter their voter ID number and instantly access their information. The app also includes a scanning feature that allows users to scan the QR code or barcode printed on the card for immediate results.

Officials emphasize that checking voter status in advance is a simple but essential step before any election. It ensures that eligible citizens are not turned away at polling stations and helps maintain a smooth voting experience.
