Vivo has introduced its latest budget 5G smartphone, the Vivo Y6 5G, in the Chinese market. The device focuses heavily on battery life and durability, while still offering a modern design and balanced performance for daily usage. It runs on Android 16 with OriginOS 6, bringing a refreshed software experience to the segment.
The phone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 chipset built on a 4nm process. It is paired with up to 12GB RAM and 256GB UFS 3.1 storage, making it suitable for multitasking and casual gaming. Vivo has also added a side mounted fingerprint sensor along with face recognition for security and quick access.
On the front, the Vivo Y6 5G features a 6.75 inch HD+ LCD display with a 120Hz refresh rate and peak brightness of 1200 nits. The screen resolution stands at 720×1570 pixels, offering a smooth viewing experience for scrolling, streaming and everyday use.
One of the biggest highlights of the device is its huge 7200mAh battery. It supports 44W fast charging, which Vivo claims can significantly reduce charging downtime despite the large battery size. The smartphone is available in multiple storage variants. The base 8GB RAM with 128GB storage model is priced at CNY 1,799, roughly 24000 rupees. The 8GB plus 256GB version comes at CNY 1,999, around 27000 rupees. The top 12GB plus 256GB variant is priced at CNY 2,199, approximately 30000 rupees. It is available in Galaxy Silver, Obsidian Black and Phoenix Welcome Gold colour options.
