Vivo and Lava Smartphones Become Costlier in India as Prices See Fresh Hike Across Multiple Models

Several Vivo and Lava smartphones have reportedly seen a price increase in India ranging from 1000 to 4000 rupees affecting popular mid range and budget devices ahead of official confirmation

Smartphone buyers in India may need to rethink their purchase plans as select models from Vivo and Lava have reportedly become more expensive. After recent price revisions seen in brands like Samsung and Motorola, both Vivo and Lava have now joined the list with noticeable hikes across several popular devices. The increase is said to range between 1000 and 4000 rupees depending on the model and storage variant.

Interestingly, the latest changes have surfaced through tipster reports and online listings rather than any formal announcement from the companies. This has left consumers slightly confused, especially those who were planning to buy phones from the affected lineup in the coming days.

According to information shared on social media platform X by tipster Sanju Choudhary, multiple Vivo smartphones have seen revised pricing. The Vivo V70 Elite now appears to be significantly costlier, with its 8GB and 256GB variant reportedly increased from 54,999 rupees to 58,999 rupees. The higher 12GB and 256GB version has also moved up to 63,999 rupees from its earlier price of 59,999 rupees.

Another model in the lineup, the Vivo V70, has also undergone a price revision. Its 8GB and 256GB variant now costs 53,999 rupees instead of 49,999 rupees, while the 12GB and 256GB option has been updated to 56,999 rupees from 53,999 rupees. Even the more affordable Vivo Y21 with 6GB and 128GB storage is said to have received a 1000 rupee hike, now priced at 21,999 rupees.

The changes are not limited to premium or mid range phones. Vivo Y400 variants have also seen upward revisions. The 8GB and 128GB model is now listed at 31,999 rupees compared to its earlier 28,999 rupees price. Meanwhile, the 8GB and 256GB variant has reportedly reached 34,999 rupees, marking another notable jump in this segment.

Lava smartphones have also been affected by the same pricing trend. The Lava Bold 2 5G with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage is now said to be priced at 15,499 rupees, up from 13,999 rupees. This represents a 1500 rupee increase on the model. Similarly, the Lava N1 5G has also become costlier, moving from 12,999 rupees to 13,999 rupees for its 6GB and 128GB variant.

At present, neither Vivo nor Lava has issued an official statement explaining the reason behind these price adjustments. However, early checks on brand listings suggest that updated prices are already reflecting in some retail channels, indicating that the change may be gradually rolling out across the market.
