Tata Motors introduces new Curvv.ev SeriesX variants with extended range, modern SUV coupe design, advanced tech features, and enhanced comfort aimed at strengthening its position in India’s growing EV market

Tata Motors has strengthened its electric vehicle portfolio with the launch of two new variants under the Curvv.ev SeriesX lineup. The new additions, named Accomplished X 55 and Empowered X 55, mark another step in the company’s push to expand its presence in India’s fast growing EV segment. The starting price for this updated range is set at ₹16.99 lakh.

At the core of the new lineup is the Tata Curvv.ev, which combines SUV practicality with a coupe inspired design. The vehicle is powered by a 55 kWh battery pack delivering 167 hp of power and 215 Nm of torque. According to industry reports, the certified range stands at around 502 km, while real world driving conditions are expected to deliver close to 400 km on a single charge. Tata also offers an impressive 15 year battery warranty, adding long term confidence for buyers.

The Accomplished X 55 variant focuses on comfort and essential modern features. It comes equipped with a panoramic sunroof, dual digital screens for infotainment and instrumentation, and wireless connectivity for both Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Safety is enhanced with a 360 degree camera system, while the cabin offers ventilated seats and premium leatherette upholstery, making it a well rounded package for everyday driving.

Moving up the range, the Empowered X 55 variant delivers a more premium experience. It includes a larger touchscreen infotainment system, a powered driver seat, and a JBL nine speaker audio setup. Ventilated front seats further enhance comfort, while the addition of Level 2 ADAS brings advanced driver assistance features aimed at improving safety and driving convenience.

The launch comes at a time when Tata Motors continues to dominate India’s EV market. The company recently recorded 8,507 unit sales in a single month, securing the top position in the segment. Alongside the Curvv.ev expansion, Tata has also been actively updating its existing lineup with new variants to maintain its leadership.

Another recent development from the brand includes the upgraded Tata Harrier EV, which was introduced with the Fearless+ QWD 75 variant priced at ₹26.49 lakh. Built on the Acti.ev+ architecture, the Harrier EV offers a powerful dual motor setup producing 504 Nm of torque and can accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in just 6.3 seconds. It also features multiple terrain modes and a 75 kWh battery pack, delivering a claimed range of over 627 km under ideal conditions.

With the introduction of the Curvv.ev SeriesX variants, Tata Motors is clearly focusing on blending futuristic design with practical range and technology. As competition in the EV space continues to intensify, these updates reflect the company’s effort to offer more choice to customers while pushing innovation across its electric portfolio.
