Samsung Galaxy M47 5G Set for India Launch With AMOLED Display and Long Term Software Support

Samsung is preparing to launch the Galaxy M47 5G in India with a Snapdragon chipset, AMOLED display, triple cameras, fast charging support, and six years of software updates.

Samsung is gearing up to expand its smartphone portfolio in India with the upcoming launch of the Galaxy M47 5G. The new handset is scheduled to debut on June 29 and is expected to target users looking for a feature rich smartphone with long term software support, a premium display, and capable camera performance.

One of the biggest highlights of the Galaxy M47 5G is Samsung’s commitment to longevity. The company has confirmed that the device will receive six years of operating system upgrades along with six years of security updates. This move places the smartphone among the devices designed to offer extended usability and future readiness.

The smartphone will feature a 6.7 inch Super AMOLED display with a refresh rate of up to 120Hz. The screen is also protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus Plus, providing additional durability against daily wear and tear. Samsung claims the handset offers improved scratch resistance, making it suitable for users who prioritize device protection.

Under the hood, the Galaxy M47 5G will be powered by an octa core Snapdragon processor. While Samsung has not disclosed the exact chipset model, the company is positioning the device as a strong performer for everyday multitasking, entertainment, and gaming needs. The phone will run on Android 16 based One UI 8.5 and is expected to include several artificial intelligence powered tools and features.

Photography is another area where Samsung appears to be focusing its attention. The Galaxy M47 5G will carry a triple rear camera setup led by a 50 megapixel primary sensor with Optical Image Stabilization support. Accompanying the main camera will be a 5 megapixel ultra wide lens and a 2 megapixel additional sensor. For selfies and video calls, users will get a 12 megapixel front facing camera. Samsung has also confirmed support for 4K video recording.

Battery performance is expected to be another key selling point. The Galaxy M47 5G will support 45W wired fast charging and include bypass charging technology, a feature that can help reduce heat generation during intensive tasks such as gaming while connected to a charger.

Design wise, the smartphone adopts a pill shaped rear camera module similar to the styling seen in Samsung’s newer Galaxy A series devices. The handset will be offered in two color options, Blaze Blue and Rogue Red, giving buyers a choice between vibrant and bold finishes.

The launch microsite has already gone live, indicating that Samsung is preparing for a major rollout. With its large AMOLED display, upgraded software commitment, fast charging capabilities, and camera focused features, the Galaxy M47 5G is shaping up to be an attractive option in the competitive mid range smartphone segment.

Alongside the Galaxy M47 5G, reports suggest Samsung may also introduce the Galaxy A27 5G in the near future. The expected device could feature a Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 processor, a 6.7 inch AMOLED display, and a camera setup led by a 50 megapixel primary sensor. If launched, it would succeed the Galaxy A26 and further strengthen Samsung’s presence in the mid range market.

With the official unveiling only days away, consumers eager for a new Samsung smartphone will soon get a closer look at what the Galaxy M47 5G has to offer.
