Samsung Galaxy M47 5G Launch Brings 50MP Camera and 6000mAh Battery to India

Samsung has expanded its popular M series in India with the launch of the Galaxy M47 5G. The new smartphone focuses on balanced performance, long battery life, and a durable display experience, making it suitable for everyday users who want reliability without spending too much.

The phone will go on sale starting July 4 through Samsung’s official online store and Amazon during the early phase of the Prime Day sale. It is priced at 22,999 rupees with coupon offers, and will be available in Rogue Red and Blaze Blue colour options.

On the design and display front, the Galaxy M47 5G features a 6.7 inch sAMOLED screen with full HD plus resolution. It supports a 120Hz refresh rate and offers peak brightness of up to 1400 nits, making it suitable for outdoor visibility. Samsung has also added Corning Gorilla Glass Victus Plus protection along with improved scratch resistance for added durability.

Performance is handled by the Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 4nm 5G processor paired with Adreno 710 GPU. The device comes in 6GB and 8GB RAM variants with storage options of 128GB and 256GB. Users can also expand storage up to 2TB using a microSD card, which adds flexibility for heavy media storage users. The phone runs on Android 16 with One UI 8.5 on top, and Samsung promises up to six major OS upgrades along with six years of security updates.

Battery life is one of the biggest highlights of the Galaxy M47 5G. The device packs a 6000mAh battery supported by 45W fast charging. This combination is designed to easily last a full day of heavy use including streaming, gaming, and multitasking without frequent charging breaks.

The camera setup includes a 50MP primary sensor with optical image stabilization for clearer shots, a 5MP ultra wide lens, and a 2MP macro sensor for close up photography.
