Samsung Galaxy A27 5G Spotted on Benchmark Platform Ahead of Expected Launch
New leaks hint at Snapdragon chipset, Adreno GPU and Android 16 support as Samsung prepares next generation Galaxy A series phone with performance upgrades and familiar design features

Samsung appears to be gearing up for the launch of its next mid range smartphone, the Samsung Galaxy A27 5G, as fresh benchmark listings reveal key hardware details. The device has surfaced on Geekbench with model number SM A276B, offering an early look at what users can expect from the upcoming handset.
According to the listing, the smartphone could be powered by the Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 processor paired with the Adreno 710 GPU. While the chipset is not the newest in the market, it may help Samsung balance performance and cost amid rising component prices. The device reportedly achieved scores of 777 in single core and 1802 in multi core tests, indicating steady mid range performance.
Interestingly, the new Galaxy A series model is expected to run on Android 16 out of the box, suggesting Samsung is aligning its mid range lineup with the latest software experience. Earlier sightings of the international variant in IMEI databases had already hinted that the launch could be approaching soon.
The Samsung Galaxy A27 5G is likely to succeed the Samsung Galaxy A26 5G, which was introduced last year. That model featured a large AMOLED display with a high refresh rate, along with a capable Exynos chipset and triple camera setup. If Samsung follows a similar approach, the new device could retain a familiar design while improving internal hardware.
Reports also suggest that the upcoming phone may include a 5000 mAh battery with fast charging support, along with standard connectivity features such as 5G, Wi Fi, Bluetooth and USB Type C. Security options like a side mounted fingerprint scanner are also expected to continue.
While Samsung has not officially confirmed the launch timeline, multiple leaks and benchmark appearances indicate that the Galaxy A27 5G could be unveiled in the coming months. For users looking for a balanced smartphone with updated software and reliable performance, this device may soon become a noteworthy option in the competitive mid range segment.
