Redmi May Introduce Massive 10000mAh Battery Smartphones With 100W Fast Charging

New leaks suggest Xiaomi sub brand Redmi is testing ultra large battery smartphones possibly for Note 17 series with advanced cameras fast charging and high performance displays aimed at next generation users

A new wave of leaks from the smartphone industry suggests that Redmi is working on a bold new direction for its upcoming devices. Reports indicate that the company may be developing three new smartphones featuring extremely large batteries, possibly reaching or exceeding 10000mAh capacity, along with fast charging support up to 100W.

This development reflects a growing trend in the smartphone market where manufacturers are increasingly experimenting with high capacity batteries to meet rising power demands. Brands like Realme and others have already introduced devices with similar battery sizes, while companies such as Vivo and several international manufacturers are also exploring larger energy solutions for future phones.

According to early information shared by industry tipster Digital Chat Station, Redmi is currently testing these new devices internally. They are expected to be part of the upcoming Redmi Note series, with the Redmi Note 17 Pro Max emerging as one of the most discussed models in the lineup.

Interestingly, the global variant of the device may come with a slightly smaller battery compared to the Chinese version. While the domestic model could feature a capacity close to or above 10000mAh, the international version is expected to settle around 9210mAh, still significantly higher than most mainstream smartphones available today.

Along with battery upgrades, the device is expected to support 100W fast charging, allowing users to quickly recharge despite the large battery size. This combination aims to address one of the biggest concerns in large battery smartphones, which is longer charging time.

Camera improvements are also part of the expected package. The phone may feature a 200 megapixel primary sensor based on Samsung technology, paired with an 8 megapixel ultra wide lens. On the front, a 32 megapixel selfie camera is likely, designed to offer clearer video calls and social media content creation.

Performance and design upgrades are also being considered. Reports suggest that the device may come with a metal frame for added durability and an in display optical fingerprint sensor for security. The display is expected to feature 1.5K resolution with LTPS technology and a high refresh rate, potentially reaching 120Hz or even 144Hz for smoother visuals.

While these specifications sound ambitious, it is important to note that the devices are still in testing stages. The company has not officially confirmed any details yet, and final specifications may change before launch. However, the consistent leaks indicate that Redmi is seriously exploring the idea of pushing battery capacity boundaries in its next generation smartphones.

If these plans materialize, Redmi could significantly reshape expectations in the mid to upper mid range smartphone segment, especially for users who prioritize battery life and fast charging over everything else.
