OnePlus N6 Teased for India as New Budget Smartphone Nears Launch
OnePlus has officially teased its upcoming N series smartphone for India, with early indications pointing to an affordable device featuring fresh design elements, strong battery performance and competitive pricing.

OnePlus is preparing to expand its smartphone lineup in India once again, and the company has now offered the first official glimpse of an upcoming N series device. While the brand has not revealed every detail yet, recent teasers strongly suggest that the new smartphone will be launched as the OnePlus N6.
The announcement has generated considerable interest among budget smartphone buyers, especially as OnePlus continues to strengthen its presence in the affordable and midrange segments. The company shared a teaser through its official social media channels, confirming that a new N series phone is on the way. At the same time, a dedicated product page has gone live online, further signaling that the launch is approaching.
One of the most noticeable aspects of the teaser is the phone’s design. The images reveal a slim rectangular body with flat edges and a modern appearance. Two color options appear to be planned, including a dark finish and a mint green variant. The design language suggests that OnePlus is targeting younger consumers who prefer stylish yet practical devices.
Industry reports indicate that the smartphone could be priced below Rs 20,000, making it an attractive option for users looking for a feature rich device without stretching their budget. Although the company has not confirmed the pricing, the expected range could help the device compete aggressively in one of India’s most crowded smartphone categories.
There is also growing speculation that the OnePlus N6 may be based on the recently launched OnePlus Turbo 6X series introduced in China. If that turns out to be accurate, Indian buyers could receive hardware that has already attracted attention in the Chinese market for its balance of performance and battery life.
The Turbo 6X features a 6.72 inch Full HD Plus display with a 144Hz refresh rate, while the Pro version comes with a larger 6.78 inch 1.5K Samsung AMOLED panel. Both devices focus on delivering smooth visuals and enhanced viewing experiences, particularly for gaming and multimedia consumption.
Performance is another area where the upcoming device could impress. The Turbo 6X is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 7360 chipset, while the Pro model uses the more capable Dimensity 7400 processor. If the Indian variant borrows specifications from either model, users can expect reliable performance for everyday tasks, gaming and multitasking.
Battery life could emerge as one of the biggest highlights. The standard Turbo 6X packs a massive 7000mAh battery with fast charging support, while the Pro variant raises the bar further with an 8000mAh battery and faster charging technology. Such battery capacities have become increasingly attractive to users who spend long hours on mobile devices and prefer fewer charging interruptions.
The camera systems on the Chinese models also offer a glimpse of what may arrive in India. The standard version includes a 50MP primary camera paired with a secondary sensor, while the Pro edition adds enhanced photography capabilities with optical image stabilization and an ultra wide camera. Selfie cameras on both models are designed to support video calls and social media content creation.
For now, OnePlus has chosen to keep most specifications under wraps, building anticipation ahead of the official unveiling. With the teaser campaign already underway and the product microsite now active, more information is expected to surface in the coming days.
As competition intensifies in the budget smartphone market, the upcoming OnePlus N6 could become an important launch for the company. If the expected features, pricing and design details hold true, the device may emerge as a strong contender among affordable smartphones in India and attract buyers looking for a blend of style, performance and battery endurance.
