Motorola Razr 70 Ultra Design Leak Points to Bigger Battery and Refined Foldable Build

New renders suggest Motorola upcoming Razr 70 Ultra may feature a thicker profile, larger battery, improved cameras, and expansive dual displays, hinting at notable upgrades over its predecessor

Fresh leaks surrounding the upcoming Motorola Razr 70 Ultra indicate that the company is preparing a significant upgrade to its premium foldable lineup. The latest 360 degree renders, shared by tipster Steve Hemmerstoffer, offer a closer look at the device’s design, dimensions, and expected hardware changes.

According to the leaked visuals, the Razr 70 Ultra could measure 171.3 x 74.1 x 7.8mm when unfolded, while the folded form factor may come in at 88.0 x 74.1 x 15.8mm. This slightly thicker body compared to the previous generation hints at internal upgrades, particularly in terms of battery capacity and camera hardware.

The foldable smartphone is expected to retain its clamshell style but with refinements that enhance usability and durability. Reports suggest the inclusion of a larger battery, which may address one of the key concerns users typically have with slim foldable devices. A thicker frame often translates into improved endurance, and Motorola appears to be leaning in that direction.

Display remains a major highlight. The Razr 70 Ultra is likely to feature a 7 inch inner folding screen, complemented by a 4 inch external cover display. This dual screen setup is expected to deliver both immersive viewing and practical usability without unfolding the device for quick tasks.

In terms of physical layout, the right side of the device may house the power and volume buttons, while the bottom edge is expected to include a USB Type C port, speaker grille, microphone, and SIM slot. A secondary microphone could be placed on the top edge. Additionally, leaks point to a dedicated Moto AI button, suggesting deeper integration of AI powered features.

For context, its predecessor, the Motorola Razr 60 Ultra, already set a high bar with a 7 inch 1.5K pOLED LTPO foldable display supporting a 165Hz refresh rate, along with a 4 inch cover screen protected by Gorilla Glass Ceramic. It is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite processor and features a versatile camera setup with dual 50 megapixel rear sensors and a 50 megapixel front camera.

The Razr 70 Ultra is expected to build upon this foundation, potentially offering improved performance, enhanced imaging capabilities, and better battery life. While Motorola has yet to officially confirm the launch, the steady flow of leaks suggests that an announcement could be just around the corner.
