Karnataka Weather Forecast: The Southwest Monsoon has intensified across Karnataka, triggering widespread rainfall across several regions. According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), heavy to very heavy downpours are projected to lash the coastal districts of Dakshina Kannada, Udupi, and Uttara Kannada over the coming days.

An Orange Alert has been issued for these three coastal districts, particularly for Friday. The intensity of the downpour is expected to escalate further, with the heavy rainy spell projected to last until June 27 and 28. Additionally, the monsoon is set to intensify over the Malnad region starting June 25, which will likely push up rainfall volumes significantly.

Widespread rainfall is anticipated across the coastal belt over the next 24 hours. Accompanied by gusty winds hitting speeds of 30–40 km/h, heavy downpours are predicted at isolated places in Uttara Kannada district, while Dakshina Kannada is expected to see moderate showers with windy conditions.

Meanwhile, light spells of rain are forecast for Ballari, Bengaluru Rural, Chamarajanagar, Chikkaballapura, Chitradurga, Davanagere, Kolar, Mandya, Mysore, Ramanagara, Tumakuru, and Vijayanagara. Bengaluru city will largely experience a cloudy sky, with light rain and breezy conditions expected to stay limited to only a few areas.
