Lava has confirmed key features of the upcoming Virat V1 series including large batteries smooth displays clean Android software and home service support before the official India launch next week

Lava is preparing to expand its smartphone lineup with the launch of the new Virat V1 series in India. Ahead of the official debut, the company has revealed several important features of the Lava Virat V1 5G and Lava Virat V1, giving buyers an early look at what to expect. The new smartphones are aimed at users looking for dependable performance, long battery life and a clutter free software experience without spending a premium amount.
The two smartphones will officially launch in India on July 24 and will be available exclusively through Flipkart. Although the company has not yet announced the pricing, the Virat series is expected to target the affordable smartphone segment where demand for value focused 5G devices continues to grow.
The Lava Virat V1 5G will serve as the premium model in the lineup. It features a large 6000mAh battery designed to deliver extended usage throughout the day. The smartphone also comes with a 6.75 inch HD plus display that supports a 120Hz refresh rate, offering smoother scrolling, improved animations and a better gaming experience. To improve durability, Lava has equipped the device with an IP64 rating for protection against dust and water splashes.
Powering the Virat V1 5G is the UNISOC T8200 processor. The phone includes 4GB of physical RAM along with an additional 4GB of virtual RAM support, while internal storage stands at 64GB. For photography, users will get a 13 megapixel AI powered dual rear camera setup and a 5 megapixel front camera for selfies and video calls. Lava has also confirmed that the device will run a clean version of Android without unwanted advertisements or pre installed bloatware. Buyers will be able to choose between Arya Blue and Sonar Gold color options.
Alongside the 5G model, Lava will also introduce the Virat V1, an entry level smartphone built for users seeking a reliable everyday device. It packs a 5000mAh battery and the same 6.75 inch HD plus display as its bigger sibling. The phone also carries an IP64 rating, providing protection from dust and light water exposure during daily use.
The standard Virat V1 is powered by the UNISOC SC9863A processor. It offers 4GB RAM with support for an additional 4GB of virtual RAM and comes with 64GB of onboard storage. Camera specifications remain similar to the premium variant, including a 13 megapixel AI dual rear camera and a 5 megapixel selfie camera. Lava says this model will also deliver a clean Android experience without unnecessary software additions. It will be available in Nilgiri Blue and Himalayan Silver finishes.
One of the highlights of the Virat series is Lava’s Free Service at Home program. Under this service, customers can request device repairs without visiting a service center, allowing technicians to provide support at the user’s home. This feature is expected to make after sales service more convenient, particularly for customers living away from major cities.
With large batteries, clean Android software, smooth displays and practical after sales support, Lava is positioning the Virat V1 series as a strong option for budget conscious buyers. More details, including official pricing and complete specifications, will be announced when the smartphones launch in India on July 24.
