Lava Bold N4 Lite Launched In India With 5000mAh Battery And 8MP Camera

Lava has introduced the Bold N4 Lite in India as an affordable smartphone with a large battery, Android 16 Go Edition, expandable storage and military grade durability.

Lava has added another budget smartphone to its Indian portfolio with the launch of the Bold N4 Lite. The new handset focuses on basic everyday requirements while offering a large battery, expandable storage and a relatively big display.

The phone is priced at Rs 8,099 and is scheduled to go on sale through Amazon from September 3 at noon. As part of the launch promotion, buyers will be able to purchase the device at a starting price of Rs 7,999.

Lava is also promising two years of security updates for the handset. The Bold N4 Lite is covered under the company’s free doorstep service and maintenance programme, which could be useful for buyers looking for easier access to after sales support.

Large Display For Everyday Use

The Bold N4 Lite features a 6.75 inch qHD LCD screen with a resolution of 960 by 540 pixels. The display is aimed at everyday activities such as browsing, watching videos, using social media and basic applications.

The handset has a side mounted fingerprint sensor for biometric authentication. It also carries MIL STD 810H military grade durability certification, adding an extra layer of protection for users who want a sturdier budget phone.

Entry Level Processor With Expandable Storage

Lava has equipped the smartphone with the UNISOC 9863A processor, built using a 28nm manufacturing process. The chipset is paired with a PowerVR GE8322 GPU.

The phone gets 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. Users can expand the available storage up to 64GB through a microSD card, giving some additional flexibility for photos, videos and other files.

The software is based on Android 16 Go Edition. This version of Android is designed for entry level smartphones and focuses on delivering a lighter software experience on devices with modest hardware.

8MP Rear Camera And 5MP Selfie Camera

For photography, the Bold N4 Lite carries an 8 megapixel primary camera on the back. A 5 megapixel camera is available on the front for selfies and video calls.

The camera hardware is fairly basic, which is understandable considering the phone’s budget positioning. It is primarily aimed at routine photography rather than advanced imaging features.

5000mAh Battery With 10W Charging

Battery capacity is one of the stronger points of the new Lava smartphone. The Bold N4 Lite packs a 5000mAh battery, which should provide enough capacity for regular daily use.

Charging is supported at 10W. The handset also includes a USB Type C port, along with a 3.5mm headphone jack and an FM radio.

Connectivity And Other Features

The Bold N4 Lite supports dual 4G VoLTE, WiFi, Bluetooth 4.2 and GPS. It also features a bottom ported speaker for audio playback.

Lava has kept several traditional features that remain useful in the budget segment, including the wired headphone jack and FM radio. These additions could appeal to buyers who prefer a straightforward phone without spending much.

With its Rs 7,999 launch price, 5000mAh battery, Android 16 Go Edition and expandable storage, the Lava Bold N4 Lite is positioned as an entry level option for users who mainly need a phone for calling, messaging, entertainment and everyday applications. Its final appeal will largely depend on real world performance and battery endurance once sales begin.
