Huawei Launches Watch Kids X1 and X1 Pro With Smart Safety Features for Children
Huawei expands its wearable lineup with new kid focused smartwatches offering AMOLED display, GPS connectivity, HD calling and safety tracking features designed to give parents more control and children more independence

Huawei has officially introduced its new children focused smartwatches Huawei Watch Kids X1 and Watch Kids X1 Pro on the global stage. These devices are designed to blend communication, safety and everyday tracking in a wearable format that is easy for kids to use and reassuring for parents who want better supervision tools.
The company has positioned these smartwatches as a complete connected solution for families. Both models are already available in Europe and are expected to reach more markets soon. The standard Watch Kids X1 is priced at 249 euros, which is roughly 27,630 rupees, while the premium X1 Pro comes at 349 euros, approximately 38,720 rupees.
In terms of design and display, both models feature a 1.82 inch AMOLED screen with a resolution of 480 by 408 pixels. Huawei has added a protective layer to help reduce damage from sunlight exposure during outdoor use. The watches are built with a focus on durability and everyday wear, offering IP68 and IP69 ratings along with 2 ATM certification for water resistance.
Performance wise, both watches come with 2GB RAM and either 32GB or 64GB internal storage depending on the model. They are compatible with the HUAWEI FamCare app, which allows parents to monitor location, usage and communication activity in a more controlled environment. The devices support multiple operating systems including Android, HarmonyOS, EMUI and iOS, making them widely compatible across smartphones.
One of the standout features is the camera system. Both models include a 13 megapixel rear camera and a 5 megapixel front camera, allowing children to capture photos and make HD video calls. This adds a communication friendly layer that helps families stay connected throughout the day.
Huawei has also equipped the watches with a range of sensors including gyroscope, accelerometer, optical heart rate sensor, barometer, magnetometer and hall effect sensor. These sensors help track movement, health and activity patterns in real time. Connectivity options include WLAN, Bluetooth, GNSS and cellular support, ensuring the watch remains connected even without a nearby phone.
Comfort and usability have also been considered in the design. The Watch Kids X1 comes with a silicone strap, while the X1 Pro uses a more rigid plastic strap for added durability. Both models weigh around 70 to 72 grams, making them light enough for daily wear by children. Strap sizes are also adjustable to fit different wrist ranges.
Battery life is designed for typical daily usage, with the watches lasting up to one full day on a single charge. While not built for multi day endurance, the focus remains on consistent smart features and real time connectivity throughout active hours.
Overall, the Huawei Watch Kids X1 series aims to create a balance between safety and independence, offering parents peace of mind while giving children a modern wearable experience that goes beyond simple timekeeping.
