Honor Expands Play Series With Play 80 Pro Featuring 7000mAh Battery and 50MP Camera

Honor has introduced the Play 80 Pro in China, expanding its popular Play series with a device built for endurance and daily productivity. The new phone is equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 6s Gen 3 chipset paired with the Adreno A619 GPU, promising smooth performance across apps and media.
One of the main highlights of the Honor Play 80 Pro is its massive 7000mAh battery, which supports fast charging and is designed to keep the phone running for extended periods without frequent recharges. The device balances power with a slim form factor, measuring 166.89 millimeters in length, 76.8 millimeters in width, 8.24 millimeters in thickness, and weighing 207 grams.
The phone features a 6.8 inch TFT LCD display with HD+ resolution of 720 by 1610 pixels, a 120Hz refresh rate, and a peak brightness of 850 nits. Its IP65 rating provides resistance against dust and water, making it suitable for everyday usage in varied environments.
For photography, the Honor Play 80 Pro comes with a 50MP primary camera on the rear with an f/1.8 aperture and 8x digital zoom. On the front, a 5MP camera with f/2.2 aperture handles selfies and video calls. The device also supports AI photography features to improve image quality and assist users in capturing better shots.
The Play 80 Pro offers multiple memory and storage configurations, including 6GB RAM with 256GB storage, 8GB RAM with 256GB storage, and 12GB RAM with 256GB storage. Pricing starts at approximately 26,000 rupees for the base variant, rising to around 31,000 rupees for the top-end model. The device is expected to be available through Honor’s online store in colors such as Azure Sky, Black Phantom Night, and White Moonlight.
Connectivity options include 5G, 4G LTE, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.1, and a USB Type-C port. The phone also comes with essential sensors including a fingerprint sensor, gravity sensor, ambient light sensor, proximity sensor, and accelerometer.
Running Android 15 based MagicOS 9, the Honor Play 80 Pro provides a user-friendly interface and access to the latest software features.
