HMD Crest 2 Pro Could Bring Massive 6000mAh Battery and 120Hz Display at an Affordable Price

Leaked details of HMD Crest 2 Pro reveal a large Super AMOLED screen, Snapdragon 4 Gen 4 processor, triple rear cameras, and a 6000mAh battery, hinting at an exciting budget-friendly launch.

HMD Global is reportedly preparing to launch the Crest 2 Pro, a new addition to its Crest smartphone lineup. While the company has not officially confirmed the release, leaks and renders suggest the device could be a notable upgrade over the existing Crest and Crest Max models.

According to recent leaks shared by tech tipster @smashx_60 on X, the Crest 2 Pro may feature a 6.78-inch Super AMOLED display with FHD+ resolution, slightly larger than the 6.67-inch screen of its predecessor. The display is also expected to support a 120Hz refresh rate, offering smoother visuals compared to the 90Hz panels on earlier Crest devices.

Under the hood, the phone is rumored to be powered by the Snapdragon 4 Gen 4 processor, promising efficient performance for everyday use and light gaming. One of the standout upgrades is the massive 6000mAh battery, reportedly the largest ever in HMD’s smartphone range, paired with 33W fast charging support, which is impressive for its price segment.

The Crest 2 Pro could come equipped with a triple rear camera setup, led by a 64MP primary sensor, accompanied by an 8MP secondary lens and a 2MP tertiary camera. On the front, a 50MP selfie camera is expected, catering to users who prioritize high-quality selfies and video calls.

Design-wise, leaked renders suggest HMD will retain the signature Crest series look, with subtle tweaks. The phone appears to have a slightly thicker chin and a square camera module similar to its predecessors, indicating evolutionary rather than revolutionary design changes.

Pricing and an official launch date have not been disclosed yet. For reference, the original Crest and Crest Max launched at starting prices of ₹14,999 and ₹16,499 respectively, setting expectations for a budget-friendly positioning for the new model.

With its combination of a large display, high-refresh panel, long-lasting battery, and capable cameras, the Crest 2 Pro could become an attractive choice for buyers seeking premium features without a flagship price.
