HMD C2 Series Leak Reveals Powerful Budget 5G Phones Under 15000 Rupees

New leaked details suggest HMD C2 and C2P will bring 6000mAh battery AMOLED display 50MP selfie camera and Snapdragon 4 Gen 4 performance to affordable 5G smartphones segment

The budget smartphone space is about to get more competitive as HMD prepares to expand its C series lineup. The upcoming HMD C2 and HMD C2P have surfaced in fresh leaks, hinting at a feature packed approach aimed at users looking for strong performance without stretching their budget. Both devices are expected to sit in the mid range category while offering specifications usually seen in higher priced models.

According to leaked information shared by tipster sources, the design of both phones leans towards a modern glossy finish with a square shaped rear camera module. Color options are also expected to be diverse, with softer and bold tones likely to target younger users. The HMD C2 may arrive in shades like Light Mint, Midnight Blue and Lavender, while the C2P could come in Coral, Royal Blue and Jade Green variants.

Pricing details circulating online suggest that HMD C2 could start around 149 euros for the base model, which translates to nearly 15000 rupees in the Indian market. Higher storage versions may go up slightly in price. The C2P, positioned as the more premium option, is expected to cross the 200 euro mark depending on configuration. These price points place both devices firmly in the affordable 5G segment.

On the hardware side, both smartphones are expected to be powered by the Snapdragon 4 Gen 4 chipset, aimed at delivering balanced performance and efficiency. The standard HMD C2 may feature up to 6GB RAM and 256GB storage, while the C2P could go up to 8GB RAM for heavier usage. A large 6000mAh battery is expected across both models, supported by 33W fast charging, making them suitable for long daily use.

Camera capabilities appear to be one of the biggest highlights. The HMD C2 is tipped to feature a 50MP primary rear sensor along with additional auxiliary lenses, while the C2P may step up to a 64MP main camera with optical image stabilization support. Interestingly, both phones are also expected to offer a 50MP front camera, targeting users who prioritize selfies and video calls.

Display experience is another area where the series aims to compete strongly. The HMD C2 may come with a 6.78 inch AMOLED screen offering 90Hz refresh rate, while the C2P could push this further with a smoother 120Hz panel and higher brightness levels. Both displays are expected to deliver FHD+ resolution, enhancing multimedia consumption and gaming experience.

Beyond core specifications, the devices are also rumored to include practical features such as dual speakers, side mounted fingerprint sensors, 3.5mm headphone jack and OZO audio technology. These additions suggest HMD is focusing on delivering a complete everyday smartphone experience rather than just hardware numbers.

With the budget 5G segment heating up, the HMD C2 series could become an important release for the brand if these leaks turn into reality. The combination of large battery, strong cameras and AMOLED displays at an affordable price point may attract a wide range of users looking for value driven smartphones.
