DJI Osmo Pocket 4 Launch Brings Advanced Stabilization and High Speed 4K Recording
New compact camera targets content creators with improved tracking, powerful sensor, built in storage, and versatile controls, delivering smoother video capture and professional grade features in a portable design

DJI has introduced its latest compact camera, the DJI Osmo Pocket 4, aimed squarely at content creators looking for professional quality video in a portable form. The new model builds on the brand’s handheld gimbal lineup, offering upgraded stabilization, smarter tracking, and enhanced recording capabilities.
At the heart of the device is a 1 inch CMOS sensor paired with an f 2.0 aperture, allowing it to capture detailed footage even in challenging lighting conditions. The camera supports 4K video recording at up to 240 frames per second, making it suitable for slow motion shots and high action scenes. With a dynamic range of 14 stops and a 10 bit color profile, users can expect richer tones and improved clarity across different lighting environments.
One of the standout features is the three axis gimbal system, which helps eliminate shakes and ensures smoother footage during handheld shooting. This is complemented by advanced tracking technologies such as ActiveTrack 7.0, Spotlight Follow, and dynamic framing, all designed to keep subjects in focus and centered during movement.
The camera also introduces intelligent autofocus and subject lock tracking, allowing users to switch focus easily with a simple tap. Features like registered subject priority further enhance usability, especially for creators who frequently shoot moving subjects.
In terms of usability, DJI has combined physical buttons, touchscreen controls, and gesture based commands. Users can start recording by rotating the screen or use gestures such as a palm signal to enable tracking and a simple hand sign to begin or stop recording. A built in joystick adds more control over camera movement and positioning.
Storage is another area where the device stands out. The Osmo Pocket 4 includes 107GB of internal storage and supports high speed data transfer, reducing the need for external memory cards. It also offers zoom capabilities with lossless options and extended digital zoom for flexibility in framing shots.
For creators focused on storytelling, the camera includes multiple shooting modes like quick shots, slow shutter video, and film tone presets. Additional tools such as in camera beautify adjustments and attachable lighting options provide more creative control during shoots.
Battery performance is designed for long sessions, with support for up to 240 minutes of recording at standard resolution settings. Fast charging allows the device to reach 80 percent in under 20 minutes, minimizing downtime during production.
Audio has also been given attention, with an integrated microphone array capable of capturing clear voice and ambient sound. The camera is compatible with external audio devices such as DJI Mic series products, offering greater flexibility for professional setups.
The Osmo Pocket 4 is priced at around 600 dollars for the standard version, while a creator focused bundle is available at a higher price. With its combination of portability, advanced stabilization, and intelligent features, the new release is expected to appeal to vloggers, filmmakers, and digital creators seeking a compact yet powerful camera solution.
