ASUS Launches Three New Chromebooks With AI Features and Long Battery Life

ASUS has introduced three new Chromebooks in India featuring Google AI tools, lightweight designs, up to 20 hours battery life and affordable pricing aimed at students and professionals.

ASUS has expanded its Chromebook portfolio in India with the launch of three new devices designed for students, remote workers and everyday users. The new lineup includes the Chromebook CM32 Detachable, Chromebook CM14 and Chromebook CM15, bringing a combination of portability, artificial intelligence features and long battery life at competitive prices.

The company is positioning the new models as practical computing solutions for people who need reliable performance for online classes, office tasks, video meetings and web browsing. With prices starting below Rs 30,000, ASUS is aiming to make ChromeOS devices more accessible to a wider audience.

Among the three launches, the Chromebook CM32 Detachable stands out as the most versatile option. Designed as a two in one device, it can function both as a laptop and a tablet depending on the user’s needs. This flexibility is expected to appeal to students, content creators and professionals who prefer a device that can easily adapt to different work styles.

The CM32 Detachable features a 12.1 inch 2.5K touchscreen display with a 120Hz refresh rate and brightness levels reaching up to 600 nits. The display is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3, providing added durability for daily use. ASUS has also included support for a magnetic keyboard and stylus, allowing users to take notes, sketch ideas or work more efficiently on the move. Weighing around 640 grams, the device is built with portability in mind.

For users who prefer a traditional laptop experience, ASUS has introduced the Chromebook CM14 and Chromebook CM15. The CM14 comes with a 14 inch Full HD display, while the CM15 offers a larger 15.6 inch screen, making it a suitable choice for those who spend long hours working, studying or streaming content.

One of the biggest highlights of the new Chromebook series is battery performance. ASUS claims that the CM14 and CM15 can deliver up to 20 hours of battery life under supported usage conditions. Such endurance could reduce the need for frequent charging, making the devices convenient companions for travel, classes and extended work sessions.

Powering all three models is the MediaTek Kompanio 540 processor, a chipset optimized for ChromeOS. The processor is designed to handle everyday computing tasks smoothly, including multitasking, video conferencing, web applications and online productivity tools. The laptops also support up to 8GB LPDDR5X RAM and up to 128GB eMMC storage.

Artificial intelligence has become a major focus across the technology industry, and ASUS has integrated several Google AI tools into the new Chromebook lineup. Users will have access to Gemini AI, NotebookLM and other intelligent productivity features that can assist with research, content creation, learning and organization. Select models may also include trial access to Google AI Pro services along with 2TB of cloud storage.

The pricing strategy is expected to be one of the strongest selling points for the new range. The Chromebook CM14 starts at Rs 26,990, while the larger CM15 is priced from Rs 28,990. The premium CM32 Detachable enters the market with a starting price of Rs 37,990. The detachable model is currently available for pre orders, while all three devices are scheduled to go on sale from June 19.

As demand for affordable laptops continues to grow across education and remote work segments, ASUS is betting on a combination of lightweight design, AI powered features and extended battery life to attract buyers. The launch reflects the increasing popularity of ChromeOS devices among users looking for a simple and efficient alternative to traditional laptops.

With modern specifications, AI capabilities and aggressive pricing, the new Chromebook lineup could strengthen ASUS’s position in the entry level and mid range computing market in India.
