AKAI Launches New Summer Collection in India With Air Conditioners and Refrigerators
AKAI has introduced its latest summer appliance lineup in India featuring inverter air conditioners and refrigerators designed for extreme temperatures, energy efficiency, and cooling performance across multiple price segments.

AKAI India has officially launched its new 2026 Summer Collection in the country, expanding its range of home appliances ahead of the peak summer season. The latest lineup includes Nilgiree Split Inverter air conditioners and a wide range of Direct Cool refrigerators aimed at meeting the cooling demands of Indian households during extreme heat conditions.
The company says the new products have been specially designed for Indian weather, where temperatures in several regions often cross 45 degrees Celsius during summer months. According to AKAI, the new launch is part of its broader Har Ghar Zero Summer campaign focused on improving comfort and cooling accessibility for consumers across different budget categories.
One of the key highlights of the launch is the Nilgiree Split Inverter AC series. AKAI has introduced both 1 ton and 1.5 ton variants in the lineup. The air conditioners will be available in multiple energy efficiency options ranging from 3 Star to 5 Star ratings, giving customers flexibility based on power consumption needs and pricing preferences.
The company claims that the new AC series has been engineered to maintain effective cooling even when outdoor temperatures reach up to 55 degrees Celsius. As heatwaves continue affecting many parts of India, brands are increasingly focusing on appliances capable of performing efficiently in harsh conditions.
AKAI has also included several smart and convenience focused features in the new air conditioners. These include 9 in 1 Flexi Mode and 6 in 1 Convertible Mode technology designed to allow users to control cooling performance according to room requirements and electricity usage.
Additional features include Frost Self Clean technology, ultra fine air purification support, Ayurvedic air filters, and 100 percent copper condenser coils. The company says these additions are intended to improve cooling quality, durability, and indoor air circulation while reducing long term maintenance concerns.
Alongside the AC range, AKAI has introduced a new Direct Cool refrigerator lineup targeted at both small and large households. The refrigerators are equipped with Deep Direct Cool technology aimed at handling daily cooling requirements more efficiently during hot weather.
The refrigerator range supports wide voltage operation, which means the appliances can continue functioning even during voltage fluctuations, a common issue in many regions. AKAI also confirmed the use of R600a refrigerant in the new models, stating that it offers lower environmental impact and zero ozone depletion potential.
The lineup includes compact mini refrigerators with capacities ranging from 48 liters to 100 liters. For families requiring larger storage, AKAI has also introduced models ranging from 165 liters to 230 liters. The refrigerators come with features such as manual and push defrost systems, soft crisper compartments, and brushed finish exteriors for a modern appearance.
The company additionally revealed plans to launch glass door refrigerator models in the future as part of its expanding appliance portfolio. Industry analysts believe the move could help AKAI strengthen its presence in India’s highly competitive home appliance market.
The newly launched appliances are now available through offline retail stores as well as the company’s official platform AKAI India. AKAI has priced the refrigerator range starting at Rs 16398, while the air conditioners begin at Rs 31490. Customers will also have access to no cost EMI payment options for easier purchases during the summer season.
