Milk Price hike in Karnataka: Karnataka Animal Husbandry Minister K Venkatesh said that the price of milk will be increased by Rs.5 soon. Talking about this in Vidhana Soudha, he said that there is a lot of pressure from the unions to raise the price of milk.

Our aim should be to benefit the farmers, so increasing the price of milk is inevitable, he said. There is a lot of pressure coming from the farmers and unions to increase the price of milk. Farmers have demanded to increase the price of milk to Rs.5.

Minister K Venkatesh said that we will discuss this with CM Siddaramaiah and take the next decision. He said that the milk price hike will be finalized after discussing with the CM. Consumers have faced another shock amid the increase in vegetable and food prices, milk prices are likely to increase by Rs 5.

It is said that the new rate is likely to be implemented from next week itself. It has been said that the new price will come into effect from next week and KMF officials have already held a round meeting with the Chief Minister regarding the increase in milk price. CM Siddaramaiah will hold a meeting with KMF officials again on Friday.
